Enabling SSH on my NAS voids the warranty/support so i have never enabled it
Wait, whut ?!? Which NAS manufacturer is that?

The RPi has a setting in its config.txt file for disabling overscan.
Add a line to config.txt
Also bypass the A/V receiver if the problem persists.
5v is only half the story and mostly not the problem.
Sufficient amperage is key here.
- LibreELEC will auto-update stable versions by default (unless you disable the auto-update feature). LibreELEC or Kodi will not update separately.
- LIRC: not my department
- Add-ons are also auto-updated by default via their repositories. This can be switched off/on. If you want to run your own scripts changing settings files, it's possible but you are on your own there.
- Installing 3rd party drives is not possible. Only via compiling your own (forked) source code and added drivers will you get an updated LibreELEC build.
- It is a squash system for a reason. LibreELEC is not a full-blown OS, it's a vanilla Linux compilation with only the necessary bells and whistles for running Kodi.
Since I have a 4K TV, I put the ad on 3.840 x 2.160.
A simple question... does your TV actually do 4K@60fps?
Log in via SSH into your NUC and get us a xrandr | paste output.
In short: no.
Nvidia on Linux does not even do 10bit video via VDPAU to begin with. Nvidia support LibreELEC will therefor be halted after v9.x
( See Development Update – LibreELEC )
If you want full video support on Nvidia graphics, go Windows 10.
These answers are complete BS, ignorant and plain wrong.
Well, good evening to you too.
You can have your own opinion, however some Kodi skins don't even have/allow mouse support.
The fact is, that when a mouse is usable with Kodi, it's considered a bonus.
FYI: we don't care much for Berryboot, and OpenELEC is pretty much dead by now after 1.5 years of total inactivity.
Looks like Noobs or LibreELEC mount this partition as /flash, so:
LibreELEC works, like OpenELEC used to, with a read-only system partition and a storage partition for many years already.
Also, calling BS and 'ignorant' in your first post on this forum is not the preferred way of making friends here.
I always took the BACKUP program. This program did not work out
You're not making it easy for us, are you? :o) Did you use LibreELEC's Backup/Restore tool in the Settings Add-on, or did you use a separate Kodi Backup addon for this? And again... saying "not working" is not helping us either.
If you have a new 8th gen NUC device, but you have a video library from a 8.2.5 setup, which Kodi device did you use for that 8.2.5 library? Create your backup with LE's internal backup/restore tool with that 8.2.5 device, and import the stuff into your 8th gen NUC with Kodi Leia.
Otherwise, I'm out of ideas.
Your NUC is one of the very newest models available. Intel Gen 8 graphics is likely not supported by the "old" LE 8.2.5 build.
Saving your old 8.2.5 setup is best done by doing a full video and/or music database export (using "Separate files" is recommended) on an older/different computer. Then install Leia, and restore your video/music backups.
LibreELEC is using a small vanilla Linux OS with only the necessary bells and whistles, it doesn't have the bloated background noise of Windows and its background processes. Hence also the 512MB system partition for LibreELEC vs the current 20+GB for a today's Windows 10 installation. But then again, they are totally different beasts.
I'm glad the fix for your problem was easy.
LibreELEC will auto-mount every internally attached local drives, IF... they don't contain any major harddisk errors or are still in Windows' suspend or hibernation mode. Also having multiple harddisks with no disk label or identical disk labels can pose a problem for LE.
With LibreELEC, you can try and find your internal drive(s) via Videos/Files and the media path.
The best answers can be found if you are able to access your i3 box running Kodi via SSH, the backdoor through which a lot of trouble shooting can be done.
We have our share of forum spamming attempts, so personally I'm a bit more careful. If that results in sarcasm, I'm surprise. But then again, not everyone always shares my type of humor.
On the topic of "Operation not permitted", entire books can be written by now because of Microsoft's changing attitude towards Samba. The old v1 turned out to be a security hell hole (see 'WannaCry'), and v2 and up requires user credentials and don't support network browsing any longer. As long as Kodi and thus LibreELEC are still in Beta territority, I'd say it's best to wait updating Wikis on that topic. Stuff may still change.
if you don't enable SSH in the initial wizard, it can't be done
Mmm....That's not what the wiki says.
Note: SSH has to be enabled at the very first start of LE (installation wizard). Otherwise the SSH service isn't available.
There is a difference: the SSH server isn't enabled by default, so if users are in need of SSH right away, they can enable it via the 'Installation wizard'. SSH can also be enabled/disabled in LibreELEC's Settings Add-on as you already found out.
I'm not saying the LE wiki is perfect. Wikis tend to be more like a never-ending story.
ASRock J4205-ITX Intel Quad-Core Pentium Processor J4205
FYI, that is not the latest Intel generation. If you don't mind the ITX format, I'd now go for a Pentium Gold G5400, it has a bit more grunt than the Celeron variants.
Klojum, LOL....no...I've been running this system since 2012. RMA unlikely.
Sorry, my remark was towards @theboy181
Should've tagged him, but as I'm currently pretty snotty from the flu and possibly other stuff, I simply forgot.
RMA it if you still can.
