I know Tim_Taylor reported better results with his adapter (~450Mbps if I recall) but for some reason iperf3 is showing only ~200Mbps in my case. I'm using same chip as his adapter (ASIX AX88179) so I'm wondering where the bottleneck is.

AX88179 -> USB3

Iperf runs between two network points - speed is depending on more than only the USB adapter

In my case irperf was running in server mode on my NAS with bonded Gb ethernet and client mode on amlogic box.

Running iperf in server mode on my older NAS with simple ethernet -> speed is ~250mbps

Did You try it ?

LE(amlogic) could handle autostart.sh and hdparm command

You need more sock drawers

I use USB2.0/Gb adapter based on ASIX AX88178 Chipset for a long time- working perfect.

The USB3.0 ASIX AX88179 Chipset and Realtek RTL8153 Chipset is working too.

mount -o rw,remount /dev/root

No ! (/dev/root is no mounted partition)

Copy the remote.conf file to /storage/.config folder

Other option:

Copy remote.conf to /flash - in this case You have to remount first -> mount -n -o remount,rw /flash

LE9 is pre alpha from KODI leia - update is possible but not recommended - fresh install prefered

All my boxes play jellyfish 140mbps - S905X need USB Gb adapter

I tested ATV box from a friend - working perfect with my 15€ HDMI cable from amazon store connected @AVR

And I use XBMC/KODI many years too - boxee, raspberry pi 1, 2 and 3 - hifiberry etc.

Most users want to save money - using cheap HDMI cable shipped with the 25€ box - try 4k HDR with high bitrate - then whining ....

Yes, I own some of this cheap boxes, but never use the cheap cable shiped with.

A working HDMI cable costs round 15€ - no need to buy the high end premium cable >100€
