I'm running LibreELEC on a NUC7PJYH. The built in Realtek RTS5229 PCI Express Card Reader worked fine with LibreELEC 9.0.2.
After updating to LibreELEC 9.1.002 or 9.1.501 the card reader isn't detected anymore. I've also tried the latest Milhouse Testbuild and Weekly Linux 5.3-rc8 build #0909x with the same result.
It seems the problem started with Linux Kernel 5.0.x. There is a bug report on Bugzilla RTS5229 built in card reader not detected after Linux 5.0.x, but no real progress.
Is there any chance to get the card reader working again with the latest LibreELEC versions?
Patch for GLK HDMI bug was updated to V3: [v3] drm/i915/glk: Add Quirk for GLK NUC HDMI port issues
A new version 2 of the patch "NUC HDMI port issues" has been posted: [V2] drm/i915/glk: Add Quirk for GLK NUC HDMI port issues
sky42 Thanks for your work. Information about the "No Signal" workaround/patch: 105887 – (ford) [GLK] no signal after switch resolution from [email protected]
With version 8.2.5-6.42.1-kernel-4.16.9 on my NUC7PJYH I finally got Bluetooth to work. It didn't work with version 8.2.5-6.42.1-kernel-4.17-rc5 before.
And there's progress on the "No Signal" bug. Someone tested a workaround by modifying Ubuntu kernel sources and solved the issue.
So hopefully there'll be a LibreELEC version with this patch out soon, because with this bug the NUC is almost unusable for me.
Have you tried this? Custom EDID [LibreELEC.wiki]
Custom EDID didn't help, still the same problems. Bug was already reported: Bug 105887 (ford) - [GLK] no signal after switch resolution from [email protected]
Hopefully they'll fix it soon.
I installed your 8.2.5-6.42 build on my NUC7PJYH connected to a Samsung LED TV and it works fine. Unfortunately, I also have the "signal lost" issue some guys have reported. Every time after Kodi starts, I have to switch on/off the TV to get a picture. I need to do the same after every framerate switch.
Another problem that I noticed, is that the integrated Bluetooth isn't working, so my remote won't connect.
I also had only black screen with mouse cursor. Milhouse pointed to the same solution in his testbuild thread on kodi forum Kodi 17 - LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 17.0).
Just check post #2757 and #2760.
Had the same problem and was able to solve it with this thread: Rpi3 Update from v7.90.006 to v7.90.007 hangs in splash screen
