Strange, with this build Resolution, Refresh rate and Blank other displays displays are greyed out

Arghh... OK, that's a new Kodi bug introduced in #0614, which has now been reverted with PR14049.

I've uploaded #0614c which includes PR14049 as a replacement for #0614b: libreelec-generic.x86_64-9.0-milhouse-20180615154459-#0614c-g83c436f.tar

This is the patch I'm testing, which applies on top of the existing 4.17 branch: http://ix.io/1doe

#614C is working on my Ryzen 5 2400G System, the Bug reported from #614B is gone, all options avaliable on my system

#0614c works on my NUC7PJYH. The "No signal" issue after boot that I had with #0612b is gone.

Thanks, sounds promising - I've dropped the "i915.glkhdmi=2" workaround from the 4.17 branch, and added the "V2 Quirks" patch.

I can not look for anything from the .movie or tv show of youtube .libreelec-generic.x86_64-9.0-milhouse-20180615154459-#0614c- without it falling out

tomtomclub thanks, that's another Kodi and/or addon bug. Perhaps I should have made this clear - the important aspect of #0614c (and the other builds I've posted in this thread) is the kernel behaviour, in particular GLK and AMD support, I'm not trying to create another "general" support thread. If you want to report a bug with kodi master please test the #0614 build that I've posted in the kodi forum, reproduce the issue and post a debug log/crash log as appropriate in the kodi forum thread. I just bought a newer generation motherboard (Gemini Lake ASROCK J5005),knowing that there will be issues with Libreelec, so, i m not expecting miracles, yet i dont want to install windows, although i do have a spare students license. I insist in using Libreelec.

Having read all posts in this thread (and a couple more related threads) i m still a bit confused... Question is, if i would like a somewhat "stable" version installed (less bugs to fight with), which one should i download?

I could wait a couple of weeks if things are expected to improve somehow ( some important bug fix maybe? )

PS - i m planning to update my current (braswell) system with it, then switch motherboard, see how it goes.

If there will be problems, i will try a clean install

the work only on the j5005 and j4105

Got my ryzen 2400g to work now. Seems to be the hdmi switch that I have between that messed LE up. I plugged it straight into the the tv set nad it started working. (the hdmi switch work just fine but LE doesn't like it)

I've officially switched my nightly builds to 4.17.y and will now continue publishing 4.17.y based Generic builds in the Kodi forum. Thanks for all the testing, it's been very helpful, and thanks to sky42 for finding the GLK patches and getting the ball rolling on these mainline kernels.

milhouse  sky42 thanks you both for bringing librelec up and running on this new Hardware, i'm very happy to have it up and running now on my Ryzen 5 2400G Hardware, i never had such fast Mediaplayer before

I will go on with testing of your nightly builds now

Btw unlucky this patch didn't solve broadwell/braswell refresh rate issue (black screen)

I know that this was a patch only for Gemini but "hope is the last to die"
