Thanks. I'll give FTP a shot. Is there a login? Don't remember seeing any FTP settings.
Under libreelec settings next to smb is ssh, that should allow it, err I think
read this LibreELEC
you might be able to just copy addons & the user data folders

I'm a bit confused. to update any Libreelec put the new file in the update folder & reboot.
storage/.kodi/addons
I found this by using coreftplite on a windows laptop
might be an idea to use the backup addon
It means that I hardly have enough time to support S805 and S905. You have to remember that I have a family and a day job.
Good for you.
Help i have tried everything to get Libreelec on the above
Has anyone managed to do this yet
Try reading this, LibreELEC
or ask this question in the Amlogic S805 part of the forum
Happy to report that this latest 007 build on my MXQ Pro is working very well! Wifi was an issue prior to the fix being corrected, and now its purring like a kitten. =)Quick question however, is there an advantage to keeping the install on SD card as opposed to NAND?
You just never know, you might want Android in the future, for apps like skype?
I think Libreelec runs pretty fast from sd, so why get rid of android?
Just my opinion
Is any way to install libtorrent addon on S905 libreelec?
why don't you try?
I use coreftplite, I can copy delete files etc, it seems easier than putty to me
Free FTP client, secure file transfer software
user root password libreelec
I suspect you havent pushed the paperclip in far enough. Perhaps the thing u are using is not thin enough.
Just put the new image into the update folder & rebooted fine.
Using BeelinkMiniMXIII running libreelec from usb stick
Bit of advice please lads did any of you invest in a hdmi 2.0 lead? If so was there any improvement on the 4K,my tv registers uhd through the supplied hdmi with my minimx and looks pretty awesome I'm just wondering if I actually need to buy a 2.0 or not?
Cheers
Gaz
I think my MiniMX came with a 2.0 port, so I assume it included a 2.0 lead. But I don't have a 4k tv to test
Minimxiii mate, how do you make a bootable twrp? Just copy image to sd or burn it? Funny thing is libreelec boots from sd but I can't seem to get anything else to nor can I enter recovery
Have a look at this
Thanks, I'll give it a go later & let you know how I get on.
I did as you said, & got it working after a reboot. I didn't realise that the original remote wouldn't work at the same time. Anyway, I think I will stick to the original. I suppose I need another logitech remote, the 300 which I prefer I use with my NUC in the living room, & my grandaughter uses the 650.
The Logitech 650, is uses the Pivos from the logitech database to run a Mygica 510b.
But thanks, it all adds to my learning curve.
Hi kszaq!
Thank you for your perfect work!
Please can you help me with my S905 box MXV+ (MXV Plus)? Where can I find dtb.img for my device?
Thanks
I can't see it LibreELEC here device_trees
Sorry I can't help, the device tree is for the latest version 6, try the earlier version 5, you might not need the tree.
Right a get you now lol will give it a try but one. question how would i get it on to libree using ( putty ) or is there a easier way of doing it lol
I am using coreftp lite Free FTP client, secure file transfer software from windows
user root password libreelec obviously use your ip address or host name
see attachment
after downloadin it, where should i place this file?
Thanks,
*sorry i am newbie
It's basically a case of sticking the pivos remote.conf in /storage/.config, mapping the original power toggle button from the minimxiii remote into the harmony (so you can power on) and then - if you want to - tweaking the keymaps inside kodi.
I came across a few remote.conf's for the pivos and did a bit of messing around to find what worked - this is what I'm using at the moment, but it's still a WIP - when I've finished messing I'll post a proper how-to...The key id's are for use inside kodi if you're making a keyboard.xml file, and 'Harmony buttons' is just a reminder for me for stuff I've mapped.Code Display More# Pivos xios ds for harmony factory_code = 0xbd020001 work_mode = 0 repeat_enable = 1 ;repeat_delay = 40 repeat_delay = 100 ;repeat_peroid = 39 repeat_peroid = 100 ;release_delay = 150 release_delay = 100 debug_enable = 1 key_begin ; Code = IR keycode ; Linux = Linux keycode ; Android = Android keycode ; Button = Description button on remote ; ; Buttons with a * are not mapped to physical buttons on the harmonay remote. ; ; Code Linux Android key id Harmony Button ; ---- ----- ------------- ------ ------- ------ 0xe3 30 ; A 61505 none AudioDelay* 0xd8 70 ; EXPLORER 61660 none Browser* 0xd9 35 ; POWER WAKE 61512 none CodecInfo* 0x90 111 ; DEL 61575 none Delete 0xd2 108 ; DPAD_DOWN 61569 down DirectionDown 0x99 105 ; DPAD_LEFT 61570 left DirectionLeft 0xc1 106 ; DPAD_RIGHT 61571 right DirectionRight 0xca 103 ; DPAD_UP 61568 up DirectionUp 0x84 33 ; F 61510 ffwd FastForward 0x95 102 ; HOME 61622 exit Home 0xc5 23 ; I 61513 info Info 0xd6 46 ; MENU 16838723 menu Menu 0x80 113 ; VOLUME_MUTE 61623 none Mute 0xe1 38 ; L 61516 none NextSubtitle* 0xc2 52 ; . 61486 skip fwd NextTrack 0xce 28 ; DPAD_CENTER 61453 ok Ok 0xcd 178 ; PAGE_DOWN 61573 channel down PageDown 0x9a 177 ; PAGE_UP 61572 channel up PageUp 0x85 57 ; SPACE 61472 pause Pause 0x88 25 ; P 61520 play Play 0x45 116 ; POWER WAKE 61662 none PowerToggle (map this to sleep, poweroff, power menu or whatever inside kodi. Obviously the keymap is for my needs - and it's not finished, I haven't even mapped all the buttons yet - but I'll stick it up anyway, might be some use as a starting point. I'd try just the remote.conf to begin with, then go from there.
It should work for any box btw, the only difference would be the power toggle command from the original remote.
Thanks, I'll give it a go later & let you know how I get on.
