Brilliant, easy when you know how right?
I was trying to work out how to re-install.
Where i was only allowed me to disable.
I disabled, then enabled it.....
All good again.
Thank you very much for your help.

Oh, I was trying to do it via ssh.
I think i found it in gui when looking for how to show hidden files.
this is it, right?
http://ix.io/2WEo
pastekodi does the copy-and-paste for you: Click!
Oh, i tried that first and nothing happened.
I tried it a few times, it paused for a bit and nothing happened.
So I knew i had done it wrong.
I just tried it again and it gave a link.
Sorry, I was misreading that, apologies.
It is showing pvr manager not starting up.
Well, stating pvr managrer starting up 0%
So, to use pastekodi, i think i have read right, i have rebooted, it is stored in /storage/.kodi/temp/kodi.log
(according to hud)
Then I paste it here right?:
hastebin
I can't find storage just now, then i need to work out how to show hidden files from ssh I think.
When you say LE GUI.
I am thinking you mean when i am looking at Libreelec, going to settings/libreelec/services
Is that what you mean by LE GUI or have i got that wrong?
I am using linux mint.
I tried it with terminal first but similar issue.
Sorry, I have tried so many things, I have forgotten what i am actually meant to put in.
I am not quite sure what you mean.
So, at the linux terminal:
gives me
Gives me
OK,
It SSH was already enabled and that was on PuTTY.
Switched ssh off and on again, retried with putty again.
Same result.
Thanks.
So, in putty you mean?
login as:root@libreelec
PuTTY Fatal Error
No supported Authentication methods available
(Server sent:publickey,keyboard-interactive)
Thank you.
I activated debugging.
Trying to access via ssh (which i am new to but have done it a couple of times), it wasn't accepting libreelec as pw nor was it accepting the pw i put in. So i deactivated the ssh pw in librelec settings. Now it states:
Permission denied (publickey,keyboard-interactive).
Am I doing something wrong? Remember i am a noob.
The above was on terminal in Mint.
Tried Putty. I tried to login as root which is correct, right?
I type in root and it says:
PuTTY Fatal Error
No supported Authentication methods available
(Server sent:publickey,keyboard-interactive)
Sorry, I couldn't think how to title this one.
I am sorry if I have changed a setting.
All worked fine when i last used it, (yesterday)I have left it on for a month or so, no problems, all working well apart from the odd user error.
Today I came home from work and nothing was showing when i switched to it.
No green light on pi, so I unplugged and plugged in.
Ocassionally we get a brief power out, so assumed that might be it.
All seemed to start as per normal.
But it isn't right. I have rebooted twice, then tried shutting down completely twice and leaving off a for a time to cool down.
Now:
I can't watch live tv.
There is nothing showing on the tv guide.
There are no recordings showing under tv.
I can not seem to access it via another browser on my pc. (as long as i am doing it right 192.etcetc:9981)
In favourites, I saved a bunch of links for catch up tv typething.
I can watch those no problems, so I have internet connection.
Surprisingly, I can watch the recordings on my phone over the network, so they are not deleted or anything.
Am I missing something obvious?
Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
Edit: Thought i would add the log in the first post.
http://ix.io/2WEr
Thanks again.
I remember doing that when i set it up but had forgotten about it.
I think somehow I have just managed to toggle that with my remote just for that recording.
Perhaps I leant on it or something.
Actually, I use the same remote for the Libreelec pi and the tv.
So, possibly, as i played with tv settings, it has been changing the pi at the same time.
Check audio settings for that recording from the osd menu...
Probably you changed audio stream to something else..
Brilliant, you were right.
I went to 'toggle audio stream' and that solved it.
I forgot that was there for individual things.
I was thinking it was for the whole thing.
Every day is a school day.
Thanks loads for that.
I am looking forward to watching the rest of the recording, but more importantly, I know what to do if I do the same again in the future.
Also I would to try to play it with another player (VLC on workstation?) to check if the audio is missing / not playing as well.
Thank you for this, I hadn't thought of that.
I sort of forget that this is now just data that I can remove and stuff.
I shall remember this for the future.
It would have been a great way to narrow it down.
Thanks.
Do you mean on live tv though?
This is a recording.
I watched half of it with audio, then tried to watch it again and it has no audio.
Even the first part of the film that had audio the first time round has no audio.
Does this sometimes happen?
I was watching a film recorded from the tv and stopped it, when I went back to it it has no audio.
I have audio for live tv and other recordings.
Have i managed to change settings for just this one recording or does it just happen sometimes?
Thanks.
Edit: I have rebooted twice.
OK, found it.
Well, somebody else found it for me.
It is because I am using a tv.
I had to make some changes in config.txt
I had to change the HDMI group and mode to cea from dmt.
Also it turns out i was in dvi mode, so had to change from dvi mode to hdmi.
Ever since I used it, I have had problems.
No sound on pi.
A ruined ssd.
A few issues with usb plugged into pc.
My usb dac was playing up.
My usb chargeable torch no longer charges.
My little spdif card is shorted and that doesn't even have power to it.
When i test the usb ports with a mouse, the light starts bright and dims to a less bright light from every usb port.
It used to just come on bright and stay bright.
All has got very confusing.
I just wondered if you might might know something about them from the information i gave.
You might have come across a similar scenario.
There are undoubtedly going to be people on the site that know more than me.
So, from your reply, you don't the answers or the information I gave is not sufficient.
One of those.
I am not expecting you personally to be the font of all knowledge but hoping someone on the site might have more knowledge than me and be able to offer some insight to me.
For example, (again, not asking you personally, just putting it out there to see if anybody knows) are the upper pins just there to hold the cable in place or do they serve a signal purpose. Or perhaps they are an earth? Or are they just there to do a mechanical job in hiolding the cable there maybe?
I am a bit stuck and am trying to work out things and trying to hopefully get some help from somewhere.
The upper pins were bent down. All that was happening with the pins in that position were that it was causing damage to every cable i put into it.
They had to be moved or else throw the pi away. No HDMI cable could go into them.
I am trying to find out if that might cause issues to the pi.
If not, the pi is fine and so it is likely to be settings somewhere in libreelec.
If that might be faulty I should look more into that first.
It arrived in a new box.
I have spent a few days trying to make it work and not being very successful.
I can't make libreelec work.
I am trying to find out how to make libreelec work.
I have read and tried many different things on various sites and am stuck.
OK, great, thanks.
Right, so, I should be able to get audio with 1.4 in the left hand port next to the usb C?
I have been having all sorts of fun.
I feel like I have tried everything.
But please assume I have tried nothing.
You don't think that a) me bending up those pins, b) a damaged cable or c) a potentially faulty usb to sata cable could have caused any damage causing the lack of hdmi audio do you?
I just had a thought.
A faulty usb to sata adapter couldn't short something in the pi and make HDMI audio not work could it?
I have that, plus also that ssd fail, plus my spdif card on my pc seems faulty now as well.
Plus I tried to charge my torch up from my pc and that won't charge from anything now.
I am wondering if i have a fault somewhere.
I can't think of anything other than the adapter and ssd that are common between my pc and pi.
