Wow, find a solution. I've disabled HD-Audio in BIOS because i don't use the Front-Panel / AC97. But this also disables the HDMI Audio Output. I'm pretty sure, i disabled this also on the old J4205 Board.
Enabled the option and now everything is fine!

most is working. But the audios settings are bad. There is no HDMI Sound output anymore in the select list. Only a not selectable "PulseAudio BT".
Is there a way to force Libreelec / Kodi to reload the audio driver?

is it necessary to run a new installation after a hardware change?
I will switch from Asrock J4205 to the newer J5005. In fact the CPU is faster and the GPU I a bit newer but same vendor (intel).

Kluojum! Thanks for your reply. After writing my answer i checked my network because i can follow your 100MBit idea. And you got the point!
There was a switch / repeater connected with only 100MBit. Fixed the issue and now i can see good speed rates. Everything is fine!
11MB/s sounds like roughly a 100 Mb/s connection.
So are you running LibreELEC on a Macbook?
What is the external drive attached to?
Libreelec is running on a x86 Intel system. The device is shown with a 1Gbit/s connection in my network.
The drive is internal “WD Red” with 3TB connected to one of four SATA ports.

I've followed this page (Sharing additional folders from LibreELEC via SMB [LibreELEC.wiki][]=share&s[]=smb) to hide and add some shares.
After a short speed test i've seen that this shares are very slow (11MB/s). I've used exactly same hardware with another OS (openmediavault) and was able to run with 80MB/s in SMB shares.
The drive is ext4 and i access the share with a Macbook. The config is like the sample / standard:
[ShareName]
path = /var/media/HDDNAME/Folder
available = yes
browseable = yes
public = no
writeable = yes
Is there any way to get more speed in this shares?

Something like this?
At first look this will run into some problem because the pdf describes how to unmount the drives. But i want to mount them in the system to access the by SSH / jobs. But i don't want see them in Kodi / the File Manager...
I think i've figured something out with the Master Lock BUT i found a way to access the "file manager" without typing an password by using the browse function in Movies... So this is not really a secure option
You ca browse your drives / access something similar like the file manager by using
> Movies
> Tags
> ..
> ..
> Files
And here you can access the hard drives without any check / password.

Thanks, i just seen that entry. But that handles just the part to create a share, not how to restrict access inside Kodi.
I've also visited the info about profiles (Profiles - Official Kodi Wiki) but it seems that there is not a special user rights management.
Locking (Media sources - Official Kodi Wiki) seems to not be so detailed as i want it.
Maybe i will find something in combination with the "master lock" (Settings/Interface/Master lock - Official Kodi Wiki). As far as i can see, i can disable there the file manager. I'm not at home, so i just can study the documentation. Often it's easier to go through the system to understand or find a solution.

I'm using LibeELEC also als Fileserver with SBM shares. I want to restrict the access to the drives & folders that are in the machine because everybody can access the 24/7 running Kodi installation without a password.
There are folders with some private data i don't want to share inside kodi / kodi filemanager but as SMB with password.
My Disk Setup:
SDA (OS)
SDB (Files)
|_> /Media [as Media in Kodi AND SMB]
|_> /OwnData [SMB but NOT in Kodi FileManager]
1) as far as i understand kodi provides Media Folder automatic as SMB share, so "media" should be fine
2) How can i restrict the access to the folder "OwnData" Folder in LibreElecs FileManager? It should not be accessable from the GUI OR just with a password option. But available as SMB in my network.
SDC (Backup)
|_> /Backup [SMB but NOT in Kodi FileManager]
3) Harddrive [SDC] should NOT be visible in the LibreELEC FileManager
4) "Backup" should be accessable by SMB (or FTP, SSH) like "OwnData"
Or, maybe as another option, is there a way to restrict access to the kodi filemanager? Maybe with different user accounts?
5) as example: autostart kodi with a "no special rights" user that only can access functions like "watch videos from library, start some stream addons" and then, if i need to configure or access something, swith to my "super user"?

I also find and used this backup option. Pretty easy.
But i want to plan it and run it every night. I'm using docker in LE and need to backup the container with volumes. As they are in .kodi they are included in the backup.

I'm new to LibreELEC and i LOVE this OS. It does everything i need in very easy steps and now i have my real HTPC, NAS and Home-Automation-Server 
But i'm unsure how to run backups. As this is very important for me. I've read that there should be a something like a "LE Backup" or "Backup" Feature that can be configured in the repo. But i'm not able to find it. Just seen the backup option in the LibreElec Menu, but there is not option to plan it every day. Can anybody tell me where i can load the "bigger" backup or how i can automate the build-in backup?
Also i need to run some rsync jobs. Where can i CRON them?
