    Hello gang, today I tried and finally made the GTC work with the latest factory update, but since I like to test I wanted to know using libreelec on this STB what USB DVB-S2 tuner can work with this receiver and Libreelec on external SD card, Espaun206 and I have being working with this receiver for a year now and since I managed to make it work on it's own I will really like to try with external USB DVB-S2 tuner and Libreelec, I am sure it will work more smoothly than factory software.......Espaun hope you still around my friend...... thanks in advance AZlink

    I have Libreelec on dual boot external SD Card but on a MXQ Android 4.4.2 Amlogic S805 but the part that since it is an external SD Card and if it doesn't work it wont hurt the STB if it doesn't work I forgot that detail..........When it comes to Android, Linux IPTV I am no expert I prefer to ask, if its about satellite STB or Turbo system for any car, SUV etc. then it is another story...............Thanks for the help and time.................................AZ

    Searching with google I found how to make a copy of the factory firmware using teamwin twrp, I opened up the box and it doesn't have a reset button, the only way I can get to recovery mode is by using the reini apk, I am also searching if on the board I can solder a reset button but no luck so far, this new M8S Plus W has the Android 7.1.2 version on it but after installing new software via OTA it was suppose to fix some bugs but it didn't fix the WiFi going dead after a few minutes of use and the only way to have it fix is unplugging the box from power for 5 minutes no less, but then after playing a movie or TV series using K0dee or any app without Kodee after 45 minutes more or less it reboots by it self and the WiFi doesn't work, again I have to unplug from power for 5 minutes and then it works again for 45 minutes more or less, that is why I prefer to install librelec directly to box or dual boot with external SD Card, I can't have 3 or more SD cards slaved to do thsi work so I prefer to install the librelec into the box......Thanks in advance and sorry for the misunderstanding..........AZ

    The thing with this box is it doesn't have the reset button, I tried re ini apk wish takes me to android recovery mode but from there how to I install libreelec directly to box? If I see an android box that has no fix at all it is better to use librelec but not everyone likes the idea to have an SD card slaved for life in a box, in my case I don't mind

    Since the Android part doesn't work well then how to install directly to MXQ the libreelec so I don't have to use the external SD Card....................

    Ahhhh I see where I made the mistake, I confused ATV with Librelec, that is my bad, I apologize, what I meant is using librelec for this box that has Amlogic S905W is is a 1G/8G only WiFi doesnt have RJ45 ethernet port................................Thanks in advance.....................

  • Help with mu MXQ S805

    Hello gang, I have 2 MXQ S805 one I have it with root and dual boot external SD, the problem with this one is I installed the Kodi Krypton for Android 4.4.2 I also tried SPMC and the problem is the same I can use any addon and at any time of the movie, TV Series it stops and goes back to Android Home page and with Krypton it does the same but back to Kodi Home page........... I tried to upgrade to Android 5 but after I get the success warning the box just keeps rebooting back to recovery mode, since I used TWRP I re install the factory ROM and start from scratch with Android 4.4.2 and the problem of going back to home page after almost have the movie, now with dual boot external SD card it works flawlessly...........I will really like to have the external boot make it permanently without the need of external SD card if the Android problem cannot be fixed............. But first I will like to upgrade to Android 5 if there is another way to try it........let me upload photos of the board of the MXQ I got, both are the same and none say ENY nor any other brand..................

    1st I will like to try install Android 5 if there is no other way then I prefer the dual boot to be permanently from the box without dual boot nor the need of an external SD card........I am not sure if its called install librelec directly to nand or boxe's ram...........thanks in advance IPTVKid

    Here photos of the board, the case is all Black no stripes of any color, I can upload photos of the box where they came in case you need any info from there.........

    Hello gang have this Android M8s Plus W not MECOOL Brand, I updated via ota to the latest firmware but it keeps freezing then I have to unplug after plugging it response to remote control but Wi Fi doesn't want to turn ON, I turn it ON and immediately goes to OFF, after leaving it unplug for a while it works all good and then it all happens again, I wonder if I can Install the custom ATV ROM used with X96 mini, it shares the same Amlogic S905W chip....................................................................Also this box doesn't have the reset button in order to enter recovery mode I use the reini apk................................................it has only WiFi, no RJ45 LAN Port, Thanks in advance IPTVKid

    Another source, where you might find compatible tWRP and ROM might be index.php?showtopic=827387&st=80 (and as soon as you have TWRP you can unroot and flash Magisk)

    Thanks for the help, the C300 is working so flawlessly I am not interested in rooting it, Magicsee send me new ROM and now PV Channels work perfect, Let me start a new thread (post) about a different Boxes I am having issues now, the Magicsee C300 is my Favorite now second Best is the new KI Pro MECOOL.........................................

    Well I got new ROM from Manufacturer and it fixed the PV Keys bugs, now I am watching PV Channels as we speak and also BI$$ channels, new ROM did mayor improvements, I still need to ROOT the device but havent found the correct way of doing it, hope any of you can help. my Magicsee like I mentioned before is the C300 not the C300 Pro..........................If it's OK I can upload photos of the hidden menu and the BI$$ and PV Channels working........................AZ

    Hello again, I took the Magicsee C300 as my new play toy, the other 2 models I mentioned can wait, the first thing I found with the Magicsee C300 is not properly rooted, I tried different root checker all say the same thing, one message came always up, something about 2 missing binary or something like that, anyway, If I want to do dual boot from SD Card I don't need the Magicsee rooted right? If so what I wish to test is libreelec with Kodi and DVB S2 to scan my satellites, can anyone suggest what libreelec should I use? thanks in advance .....................................................AZ

    Magicsee C300 Amlogic S905 can't recall last letter I think is D and the model is C300 not the C300 Pro

    Now what I really want if it is possible is boot from SD Card LibreELEC with a DVB S2 App that I can access the Satellite tuner scan channels etc. etc with the DVB app that receivers comes with works in a way, but it definitely needs a better app than that one........................if you need more specs of the receiver or the other receivers I just got please do ask I can give you everything I see on the paper it came with..................................Thanks....................................................AZ
