Try using a smaller SD card. It looks like the one you're trying to use now is not detected.

You can try to use the disp_cap hack - it is in S805 folder but will work fine on WP: Index of /s805/utils/disp_cap_hack

Thank you Kszaq for quick answer, but why does Kodi 17.3 in Android not have the same issue with the subs in the same movie.
Is it due to 17.3.
Is it easy for me to downgrade Kodi to 17.3 in your build, just for testing?
Or does that need expert level
Android uses a different way of rendering video that is unavailable for LE. Downgrading to 17.3 won't help.

If you used an image from another forum you should ask there for support. Here for S805 you should try this build, instructions included in OP: [8.2.0.1] LibreELEC 8.0 for S805

The subtitle bug is a Kodi bug that I am unable to solve and nobody in Kodi team seems to care about it. It is present on all platforms.

Perhaps you should read this: [READ FIRST] Reporting bugs
Read known release issues: [8.2.0.1] LibreELEC 8.2 for S905/S905X
And do a little bit searching: Live-TV stuttering since 8.1.9

noggin C2 uses an old 3.14 kernel but you can use builds from GDPR-1 or me for improved USB tuner support - we include media_build drivers in our builds. On the other hand, it'll be a good idea to ask whether a particular setup works fine for others - S905 devices happen to have issues with USB drivers and they might fail in some setups.

@Ksaq, Thanks for supporting Libreelec community build, recent build (LibreELEC-S905.arm-8.2-8.2.0.1.img.gz 2017-10-28 12:48 120M), working fine for me, including stalker client except the DVBViewer has buffer issue. afl1 have done a marvelous job fixing the issue, could you be kind updating with your build soon.
Cheers
I need to review the patch before meeting to make sure it doesn't break any other use case. It may take some time as I temporarily don't have any machine to build on.
I'm having some issues using my generic PS3 controllers with this build. Otherwise seems to work great!
I noticed there were some patches to other LibreElec / Lakka builds to resolve controller issues (see here and here) for Odroid LibreElec project. Wondering if the same patches would fix these issues with the S905 project?
These patches are included in 8.2.0.1.

Hi unfortunately nobody responded regarding the PVR client. If somebody has a solution this would be help a lot, I encountered similar threads about the vu client in libreelec and no solution yet found.
Unfortunately I am not able to help with this. If this is a common issue among all LE builds (i.e. including official), perhaps you could get some help in "General support".

Okay I get it.
So now that i have Updated with the new Device tree and Version 8.2.0.1 (2017-10-28).
When a New Future release that requires a NEW Device tree is available, all i will have to do is copy the LE.xxx.img.gz or LE.xxxx.tar to Update Folder and the Future version of LE will identify the boxes Device Tree and unpack it or download it ? Whichever way that may happen.
So we could SSH update
Hope that's right.
100% correct.

Will there be a notification advising of Update available and an option prompt to update now or not update now ??
No. Automatic version update is not implemented. The new feature only allows you to not include device tree during manual update.

DVBViewer Buffing on Kodi 17.5
Dear @kzsaq, have you resolved this issue and would you be able to integrate this into your software as much as possible?
No, I have not. afl1 has some improvements but they are not public yet.

8.2.0.1 (small) changelog is now in OP.
About automatic device tree update:
When upgrading to 8.2.0.1 or later you no longer have to provide a device tree for an update, it will be updated automatically. The only condition is that you have to be using a device tree from 2017-10-28 or later. You can check it by running this command: cat /proc/device-tree/le-dt-id. If this command gives you device tree name, you have all that is needed for an automatic update.

ArtUrlWWW Web browser is not available on anything else than x86_64 in LE. This may change in the future but for now there is no way to install a browser.

Is a build from this thread working fine? [8.0.2c] LibreELEC 8.0 builds for KI Plus / KII Pro / KI Pro
-
Unfortunately you can't. WiFi driver is a kernel module and is has to "run" natively. Even when I compiled kernel with the same config and toolchain that Android is compiled with, I always got "NULL pointer dereference" crash with pre-built 9082xs module.
