Not unless you want to replace your keyboard. The extension cable is the cheapest way for a quick fix. My problem was with an Intel NUC. Before installing the USB extension cable, my max distance was only a few feet. It was probably due to interference between the NUC and the USB Dongle.
Try using a short (1 to 3 foot) USB extension cable with the dongle. I had the same problem with a Logitech K400.
I'm guessing your Yamaha and TV are both off during this reboot. Maybe the HDMI handshake isn't completed. I had a similar issue with my Intel NUC, Yamaha AVR and Sony TV. Sometimes I could toggle the Yamaha input (using the knob or the remote), wait a few seconds and change it back. That would bring the LE/Kodi screen image back on.

You should contact the addon's creator for tech help. Most likely the addon will not work with a nightly build. You may have to wait.
Is Libreelec working properly now (without addon) ?
Do you have the problem with local files ?

Hi, I got things to work with my 2019 Samsung Q7 following the suggestions on this thread...so thank you for everyone’s help. Unfortunately, it only worked for a couple of day and now the remote does not work again. I think others are also experiencing this. I guess this proves it’s not the cable or hardware, but some software issue...any thoughts on a permanent fix? Thank you!
It might be helpful if you mentioned exactly what you did to fix it, even if it was only temporary.
Are you running Libreelec 9.2.2 ?
Have you tried all the hdmi input jacks on your tv ?

If you have tried all the offered solutions and none worked, then you are among those that still have the issue.
If I try to install a addon they just do not want to install, always in the right upper corner the message about:
scrip script.module.addon.common
Can not be installed or something, it's stays there not long enough to read the whole thing. (seems to be incompability issue between Python 2 / 3)

Should I skip the 9.2.2 update ?
