Your router is 2.4
software = libreelec
You need to disable the Raspberry Pi's internal wifi and use a supported USB WIFI device. That device may (will) need to be setup properly in order for it to work. There is also another device which was mentioned in other threads but I forget the name for it. It's 100% plug n play according to the poster.
Your Archer T2U has a MediaTek MT7610U Chipset. I'm not sure if it's supported by Libreelec (Linux)
What is the make and model number of your usb wifi dongle ?
What steps did you go through to enable it in the software ?
I tried to explain it more than once but you don't seem to understand. After you plugged the external usb wifi dongle into your pi, did you enter Kodi's wifi setup screen to enable it ?
I don't think you understand
Are you assuming that the pi's internal wifi was disabled when plugging in an external usb wifi device ?
How did you select (setup) the external usb wifi device plugged into your rpi ?
Just a thought. You said you got the same exact results using an external usb wifi device. Then you said the usb extension cord made no difference. Are you SURE you were using the external device and not the internal one ?
See post #61 and 62 in this thread:
Since you already connected directly to the router with an ethernet cable, how about local media ?
Is there buffering with a USB connected thumb drive or hard drive ?
Possibly a defective internet connection or the Repo is temporarily down
Did you try updating the Kodi repo ?
He meant SD, not SSD - probably a typo
Use the hdmi jack next to the power jack
Thanks for all the answers. Is there any possible (other) way except using an USB extension cable to a wireless operation of my RPI 4 at a 6 feet distance?
Not unless you want to replace your keyboard. The extension cable is the cheapest way for a quick fix. My problem was with an Intel NUC. Before installing the USB extension cable, my max distance was only a few feet. It was probably due to interference between the NUC and the USB Dongle.
Try using a short (1 to 3 foot) USB extension cable with the dongle. I had the same problem with a Logitech K400.
I'm guessing your Yamaha and TV are both off during this reboot. Maybe the HDMI handshake isn't completed. I had a similar issue with my Intel NUC, Yamaha AVR and Sony TV. Sometimes I could toggle the Yamaha input (using the knob or the remote), wait a few seconds and change it back. That would bring the LE/Kodi screen image back on.
