Mecool M8S Pro+ Bricked

Hi Guys,

i dont know if i'm here at the right adress but i dont know where to ask...

Well i own a new Mecool M8S Pro+. I tried to flash an alternative Update (M8SPro+TVStockROM) OTA but it failed.

Now would i try to flash the stock rom with the BurnCardMaker and the USB Burning Tool but both failed. The SD Card is not recogniced by the the Box and the Burning Tool did not find the Box. Then i soldered connectors to my board to read out the serial port:

I think my board is in some kind of bootloop and i dont know how i could repair this(after reset... everything repeats). Did anyone had this problem and was able to solve this?

Did you use the burn card maker??

Download Amlogic Burn_Card_Maker v2.0.2 - China Gadgets Reviews

Use that tool to create a bootable disk, using the correct firmware from the Freaktab website. My reset button is broken on my Mecool M8S Pro, and have to use this tool. I have installed Magendanz' Android mod, a version on Ubuntu and LibreELEC, using the burn card maker. I first had to install LibreELEC for my box, then was able to install Ubuntu.

You are not alone!

Sadly I seem to have the same problem. I also tried to install the same FW and now if I press the "recovery" button, I get "no signal" from my tv. If I i try to boot normally, it just freezer on random spots of the boot (In the "NEXUS" boot image or in the boot animation.). Could you post an image or give a link to one showing where to solder the UART (serial port) wires? So I can take a look on the boot messages and confirm if we have the exactly same issue. Also what USB port is the OTG port? So I can try to flash mine with the USB burning tool.

Agreed.

A LibreELEC forum has nothing to do with problems arising from flashing Android Firmware using various tools.
