[INDEX] LibreELEC community builds for Amlogic
If it shipped with XBMC Gotham and has a Mali-400 GPU it is probably an "MX" or "MX2" box with an Amlogic 8726MX SoC. This is the least-loved of the Amlogic chipsets for community development as newer (and much better performing) S905 based devices can be found online for $25, so most people can't be arsed to do much with them, but there are a couple of community images that you can try.
"Great product with great support"
And yet its Amazon page has been removed...
The 'fully loaded' description probably has something to do with it. It's a term that makes our skin itch real quickly.
It's also the reason the Kodi and LibreELEC teams are not inclined to give support.
Question: why would we offer support for free when the box manufacturer offers such 'great support' for something you bought?

Sounds like a old box already to me. It's probably time to buy a more contemporary box for running Kodi.

I have 2 Shields pal but just want to upgrade this and sell on.
Surely there is an image out there I can put on this.It was not a cheap box.Be a shame to bin it.
Well pal, there is still plenty of hardware out there for which there are no specific Kodi/LibreELEC builds.
It's not like simply baking bread, it requires a bit more effort to have Kodi run well on a hardware platform.
And besides automobiles, computers are probably the worst objects for an investment. Technology goes fast these days.
