Can't access internet - Unable to connect to remote server

  • I have managed to configure a dual boot on my HTPC - running LibreElec and Windows 10. However, Kodi has no access to the internet, but web adresses can be successfully pinged via LibreElec SSH shell. Below you can see ifconfig respond.

Have already tried to set IP address automatically and manually. I also attach Kodi.log. Do you have any idea where the problem is?

  • Hi!

I unfortunately have the same problem!

I made a complete new instal, and at the poit when I try to update my newly added (via zeroconf browser and Samba) library, I allways get this error message.

    Im really clueless...

I added my logfile, maybe it will help.

    I appreceate your help!!!!!

    THX!!!!

    log-2017-07-27-18.25.07.zip

    Edit:

It seems that my Kodi cant reach Internet...but every share in my LAN...

but I dont know why... every other device in my LAN is able to reach every website...

SFAIK I do not have any blocking rules on my router

    Edit2:

Now I connected Kodi with a new hotspot-internet device, and Kodi still does not reach

any update-server. This means that there is nothing wrong with my Internet-access(LAN)

There must be something wrong within Kodi...

    pls smb hlp me!!!!!!

  • Hi!

Finaly I solved my problem by myself.

Because noone helped me in this case, and I coud not solve this problem (I tried several installations) I decided to give OPENELEC a try on my NUC...

and it works perfectly out of the box!

    This means:

    -nothing wrong with my NUC

    -nothing wrong with my LAN-configuration

I feel really sad, that nobody offered my any help!

  • I'm facing a similar issue in my NUC, how did you managed to solve this?

  • Hi vpeter!

THX for your hint, but my DNS settings coming via dhcp, to all of my LAN-devices, and evey device (nb, tablet, cell...) is working correct.

But anyway... I tried this solution before, I used Google DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) and it didnt work either.

For me it is fine now. I dont care neither LibreELEC or OpenElec. Its only the system on witch Kodi is runnin... and a short splashscreen when it startsup... ;)

    THX!!!

  • PHONNEO, in you log you can see

    Code
    ERROR: CCurlFile::FillBuffer - Failed: Couldn't resolve host name(6)

which indicates dns problems. And you need to figure out yourself what exactly.

But you already fix the issue. All good then.
