Thread is Unresolved
-
-
"Solved" is related to kernel log spam only (which is really solved). But if it's confusing - ok, I'll correct the title.
-
Hi, just found this thread - same issue running 8.1.3 on Odroid C2
Has been the case for all 32 and 64 bit builds i've tried using Krypton.
Don't remember this problem being present on Jarvis builds?
Cheers devs for all your hard work.
-
In this thread Hyperion make lags by HEVC movies a user reported, that he solved the problem by installing the original hyperion. I alo tried that, but id didnt solve the problem.
Maybe somebody else could try this solution to exclude that i've got another problem...

Installing original Hyperion was my first approach - no luck.
-
i dont want to be impatient, but may i ask, if anybody is working on this issue? If not i'm going to build a standalone hyperion system...
-
Momo90 Not that I'm aware of.

GDPR-1, wrxtasy, kszaq, afl1, johngalt - could i ask your help with this bug? With all respect to your efforts and just amazing successes: personally for me (and maybe some other users), there is only one major issue remains with Amlogic LE builds which preventing me from being quite happy with these wonder-boxes - unusable Hyperion Thanks for your work again!
-
I guess it's rather a hw decoder bug again. Amlogic is really pissing of developers with their zero support, zero documentation and zero communication non sense. I don't believe we are ever gonna see mainline kernel support with video hw decoding.
This hyperion issue might be one of the things you are gonna have to live with. I have no hardware to run hyperion or to reproduce the bug. Therefore I'm not much help here.

"I have no hardware to run hyperion or to reproduce the bug."
#13 , no hw needed

Idk if this would fix it or not, but the Hyperion devs are working at a complete rewrite of Hyperion since ~1yr.
maybe worth a try

CvH, unfortunately there is no prebuilt binaries for NG-project, and i don't have enough experience to buil it by myself either, so i can't check it If somebody could build it for testing - it would be really nice! Though i really believe that problem is in amvideocap (not in Hyperion), i would be really glad to be wrong
-
I've made a test zip with hyperion.ng for my LE9 community builds. No way for me to test but one of my user wants to test it. I can only say that it's compiling

Thank you for help, Raybuntu! Unfortunately, it doesn't work on LE8 builds
-
Since I built Hyperion.NG I've looked more into it. From what I can tell this is a hw limitation and we can't do anything:
-
HEVC issues - it's an distinct (not so critical, i think) problem
-
the problem also occurs with not hevc files...
-
I tried to reproduce your issues using my latest LE9 build and Hyperion.NG but it's working for me. The only issue is hevc 4K with double_write = 1
