Addons are not updating on LibreELEC 8.0.1 on a RPI3

  • Addons are not updating on LibreELEC 8.0.1 on a RPI3. Each addon update fails. After removing Addon27.db all addons are gone so copied that file back. Full log here: kodi log.txt - Google Drive , but failures start like this at end of log added whitelines to make more readable):

    --------

And goes on giving same message for each failed addon update.
Anyone knows a solution for this? Thanks in advance!

  • Nevermind. Solved by reinstall. But the RPI3 has to go. Just had it with all the bugs each time with LE, OE and OSMC. LE is by far much better than other 2 btw. But I never ever have had issues with official Kodi install on Windows and Ubuntu. Time for an Intel NUC.

    Kind regards

  • Kodi runs great on an RPi3 but if you install the amount of pirate add-on crapware that your log shows I would expect problems. Aside from the dubious legal status of those add-ons (and banned in this forum) they are poorly coded and frequently attempt to detect and break other 'competing' add-ons to drive user traffic to their forums where you generate adsense profits for the scum who operate the sites.

As you have discovered, the problem follows you between LE, OE, OSMC, which proves it is not an OS problem. If you purchase a NUC and reinstall the same crap it will run the crap faster, but equally crappy.

  • I don't understand how people don't get it.

XBMC has been my go-to for LOCAL MEDIA, now everyone wants to access these pirate streams and basically demand support by blaming the original software for failed functionality of the "pirate addons".

What do you expect out of us devs and tinkerers for a stream service you SHOULD be paying for? No love here to dive into your problem, but what Chewitt said... the same bugs and errors will follow your hardware choice because you are using Kodi how it's not intended.
