Channel switching slow

Hello,

I am using the latest version of libreElec on my S905x device. I'm using IPTV Simple Client as DVR addon. Everything works fine, the only thing that annoys me is that starting in the first place or switching channels takes about 10 seconds, even when using just SD channels. My internet-connection is fast (125 real mbit)

What settings could i look at? What can i do?

If those servers you are connecting to, are crap, I guess there´s nothing we can do

This problem does not exist when using the same m3u on my laptop! servers are fast

It is not server - it is addon or kodi. My opinion is that Krypton just sucks in this regards. That's why I stayed with Jarvis where channel switching is much, much faster. At least for me.

So I suppose you / the community has not found a way to solve this issue?
I am wondering why there aren't more posts about it, IPTV streaming shouldnt be all that uncommon...

Also been a bit of discussion about big playback start delay differences with ffmpeg and HLS streams (between Jarvis/Krypton) in following thread along with related trac tickets pursuing a longer term fix Krypton 10 seconds to switch stream, Jarvis 2 seconds

On RPI3 with DVB-S2 receiver I observed very slow channel switching using slow SD-card (where LE was installed). Replacing it with faster one made it much much faster.
