vpeter could you pr (if you have it in a branch) to 8.2 ? It looks like we missed this somehow.
-
CvH: It was not missed. The "excuse" not including this was not to broke something else. Who knows what else can happen for 99.99 % of other users.
I only used libcec version 3953f8d for most users and for dbrosy 1a8dc6c with one extra patch. But I think the change itself could also be applied to 2fc92b5 because it is just one commit if I remember correctly.

Thanks mate! I'll try it later today.
It seems the problem I am encountering is different from the one in this thread.
What is happening in my case is that, when the power button command is set to "suspend", after pressing the button Kodi powers off but doesn't send the CEC command to the TV and Receiver. Upon waking the system, the command to turn off the TV and receiver is sent followed shortly by the command to wake.
So the behavior is as follows:
Kodi On --> Press Power --> System Powers down, TV and receiver remain on --> Press Power --> PC Powers On --> TV and receiver power off --> TV and receiver power back on immediately.
I suppose I should open a separate thread on this.

Did you try to change the cec/peripheral settings?

Did you try to change the cec/peripheral settings?
To what? I've tried changing the settings to say, stop the system from turning off the TV on shutdown, but this not the behaviour I want.

can't you do it the other way round for standby mode...screensaver activate standbye...wake up screensaver wake up tv...

I'll try this.

I'll try this.
What I mean is that you might be able to change some behaviour in the way your connected devices communicate....At the moment you are trying to switch off the TV by suspending Kodi when you can do it the other way round...when you switch off the Tv it will suspend Kodi/or turn off kodi/or just pause or stop any media playing and other connected devices...it's all in peripheral settings

Well this would work, and right now i'm considering either this option or leaving the power option as shutdown since it works well. The "problem" is that I only use the IR MC remote of my NUC not of the TV so the power button turns off the NUC not the TV. The TV remote has lag when using CEC so it's "smoother" using the MC remote.

Thanks again vpeter
What's the difference between the last 2 builds?

What's the difference between the last 2 builds?
Last build is only for dbrosy user (different libcec version + one extra patch). It solves his problem only.
-
Ever since I updated to the official 8.2.1 my situation with CEC got worse, now, even when I shutdown my Librelec machine no command is sent to switch off my TV. Sad that this feature keeps getting progressively worse instead of better.
-
Libcec was not bumped for some time so it is hard to judge why it is even worse.
-
vpeter I was feeling bad to ask for a new build but see you have already done it. Awesome and very much appreciated. Will test now. Thanks once again
