[8.0.2c] LibreELEC 8.0 builds for KIII Pro (S912)

For the latest update use kszaq's thread.

Fo fixing IR issue install remote.conf in /storage/.config via ssh session (user/password: root/libreelec)

For Tvheaden42 set following options:

- for every standard Maximum PIDs: 26

- Configuration ->Channel/EPG->EPG Grabber Modules->Over-the-Air: EIT: DVB Grabber->Enabled

Older builds

LibreELEC 8.0 builds for KIII Pro (S912) with support for internal tuner.

This build is based on kszaq's LibreELEC 8.0 for S912.

WARNING!!!

Amlogic has not released fbdev Mali libraries. This build uses libhybris and Android gralloc Mali driver to provide OpenGL for Kodi - because of this the builds will always be experimental until proper Linux libraries are released (if ever).

Issues:

resolution switching - only 1920x1080 is working for now (frame rate switching works)

For Tvheaden42 set following options:

- for every standard Maximum PIDs: 26

- Configuration ->Channel/EPG->EPG Grabber Modules->Over-the-Air: EIT: DVB Grabber->Enabled

For updating installation copy .tar file to /storage/.update/ and reboot box.

Warning! In SD card version is wrong dtb.img. After burning it replace dtb.img with gxm_q200_k3_pro.dtb and rename it dtb.img.

added HDMI connection monitoring service: if disp_cap is empty, Kodi will restart as soon as you plug HDMI/turn on your device to provide all display modes.
added CXD2820R tuner module thanks to a patch from codesnake
live tv faster channel switch and timeshift fix.

Great! I was just asking about this in the K1/KII thread! Thanks very much!

Edit: I just updated with your tar but there was no change, tvheadend 4.2 still does not detect any adapters. When I ssh in after a reboot and grep dmesg for dvb I only see one line...

[ 7.277097@1] aml_dvb_init: aml dvb init

Nothing for "DVB"

You have to update also dtb. In kszaq's dtbs is missing description for internal dvb tuner.
KIII_Pro_dtb.zip
Unzip it to .update folder and add .tar file, then reboot box.

For me and brimur is working. After two days testing didn't appear any crash. For experimental version is perfectly stable. Also picture playback is better with improved contrast.
HDR playback has correct brightness.

For SD card I use Win32DiskImager. All is included, only put burned card in box and reboot. For first time use 'toothpick' method.

If you are using a windows computer the easiest way to get it working is to take the .tar file from here... Index of /s912/8.0.1b-experimental/

and copy it along with the dtb.img file from here MEGA

to \\<ip address of LE box>\Update

and reboot the box

This build has all feature from parent(kszaq) 8.0.1b, also HDMI-CEC support.

Kszaq's releases haven't implemented internal dvb driver.

I could not get the new update to work, it gets stuck on the LE splash screen. I noticed the first post shows revision B again and not revision E. Did you revert?

the b is for KIII, are you looking for the e version which is for the S912?
