Custom name backup Libreelec option

At the momment Libreelec creates backups using the date/time format. I would like to be able to add a user entered comment or name etc.

i.e.
Currently -> 20170315134221.tar
Would Like -> Before Update to 9.0_20170315134221.tar

I don't believe LE will change the current backup script as it is duplicated with the Kodi Backup addon.
Your best bet would be to run the backup and then rename it using the Kodi file manager.

I guess that won't change, as date and time is the most important thing for a backup file.

He's not suggesting to remove the date and time but possibility to add a custom name. I'm not sure why though as the file can simply be renamed after.

If anything that could be added along with the date and time would be hostname as I'm sure others have multiple instances of LE and it would be nice to differentiate between backups - So 20170315134221.tar becomes <hostname>.20170315134221.tar.

Not critical but would be nice to have.
