Compile Sapphire remote driver

  • Thanks,

    I installed the addon.

I reboot the device and the module is loaded:

    # lsmod | grep sapphire
    sapphire                7175  0

But the keys works as worked before install the addon, I change the "nano /storage/.kodi/userdata/addon_data/driver.remote.sapphire/sapphire.keymap" file but nothing happens.

Need I configure or disable the original module?

    Thanks and regards.

  • If you change the keymap you will have to restart the computer.

  • If you change the keymap you will have to restart the computer.

    Thanks Irusak,

I change the "Clear" key to work as "C" this way:

    # cat /storage/.kodi/userdata/addon_data/driver.remote.sapphire/sapphire.keymap | grep CLEAR
    SAPPHIRE_CLEAR           KEY_C            NO_REPEAT                    ## Contextual menu

I reboot the computer, but nothing works. If I push the CLEAR key in the remote it doesn't do nothing. If I push the C key in the keyboard it show the contextual menu.

    I am doing something wrong?

    Best regards.

  • Hello again,

I upgrade to v7-90-004-alpha and have same problem, it doesn't wotk.

I notice that when I reboot the device I have this message in boot output:

[FAILED] Failed to start Sapphire remote start script.
See 'systemctl status driver.remote.sapphire.service' for details.

    This is the details:

In the "dmesg" I have this:

    # dmesg | grep sapphire
    [    6.825862] sapphire: version magic '4.6.3 SMP mod_unload ' should be '4.7.0 SMP mod_unload '

    Thanks for your help.

    Kind regards.

  • The add-on need a version bump so it's rebuilt against the newer kernel in 7.90.004. It's a simple job; should be done in the next day or so.

Need I download and install it? Or it will be updated automatically?
