LibreELEC on Amazon Fire Stick?

I have an Amazon Fire Stick and am curious if it is possible to replace the OS with LibreELEC like on my Raspberry Pi. I haven't really found anything searching around so I think I may be SOL but I figured I'd ask!

Not that I'm aware of. I believe those things are pretty locked down. You can install kodi for Android though (sideload)

Yeah, I have Kodi for Android installed on it but the whole thing overall is pretty laggy. Had I not gotten it really cheap I never would have bought one. In hindsight, I never should have bought one. Haha.

Yeah I have two first gen fire sticks and they are pretty laggy with kodi. I use them mainly for Netflix and Amazon video with occasional plex.

I also have a second gen fire tv and that one works great with kodi even with a demanding skin
