Sx05RE v1.8.6 Emulationstation+Lakka+Kodi

  • see this comment:

    brilliant, that sorted it. Thanks

Now just to sort out the random crash when Kodi is downloading channels from tvheadend on startup.

@kszaq's builds used to do it but have stopped doing it lately.

  • niabi

is the any way to run lakka directly from your build? I prefer to use lakka over emulationstation and would rather have a shortcut straight to that?

    Matt

  • Has anyone successfully got Retroarch working with Xbox 360 Controller & any of kszaq's builds (7.0/8.0)?

  • cool, is there a guide to building the image?

or is there a way to 'install' retroarch on the normal builds?

    Matt

    In ubuntu, to build use:

    Code
sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade
sudo apt install gcc make git gcc-multilib lib32stdc++6
sudo dpkg-reconfigure dash (select no, to install bash as the default)
    git clone -b no-ES https://github.com/shantigilbert/LibreELEC.tv Sx05RE
    cd Sx05RE
    make image PROJECT=S905 ARCH=arm DISTRO=Sx05RE

or if you can wait a bit more I can build it for you, it takes a few hours tho.

Not sure what you mean... Are you installing RA as an add-on? xbox controller works fine in both, RA and Kodi on Kszaq's builds

Thanks very much, ill try in a sec, playing around with retroarch on @kszaq's build atm.

  • I installed my roms on external usb drive but I had to try many times to start retroarch because emulationstation normally was unable to find roms.

I tried scandisk but the drive is ok. There is a way to fix this problem?

  • I have some problems with "Enter" key on keyboard.

I can't use it iside Lakka menu, and standard "A" and "Start" key not work there also.

When I start a game I also can't control by keyboard.

If "enter" key could work I could change input method.

    How to solve this?

Roms in USB need to be inside a folder called /roms and a file called sx05reroms needs to exist inside, at booth it will look for this file and set the appropriate paths.

  • does your keyboard work in emulationstation?

Yes I already done all this but I have to reboot the system many times to see roms on Emulationstation so maybe there is some bug.

  • does your keyboard work in emulationstation?

Yes after I plugin keyboard I saw the Input configuration menu and I ascribe buttons to my keyboard.

But when I go to Lakka menu I only can use arrows keys.

    BTW I use 1.6 version.
