What about Wetek Play 2 (Processor (CPU): Quad-core (Amlogic S905H), GPU: Mali MP-450 Penta core)?

Who would be in the lead for a driver/implementation? The TVH development team?

1. an implementation into ffmpeg (this might come as other chips share the same api)

2. AML has to ship mainline linux incl drivers (this still takes a bit)

3. (maybe) AML need to create an encoding driver (idk if they have something)

4. Tvh can implement it

is two problems:

1. Storage space show: 0/0/0 and unable to record

2. When I choose: Configuration > codec profiles, I can't add h264_omx. Field "codec" is empty. Also profile "webtv-h264" is grey.

Ad.1 Need to be change path for recordings. Some reason new LE doesn't have "/storage/Recordings". I've changed to "/storage/video" and now I'm able to recording. But still GPU transcoding doesn't work on RPi with omx transcoding profile with resize, deinterlace etc.

Is it possible to build just the pvr-hts as a standalone addon? I'm looking to test some functions of the latest commit (genre/category stuff) but I'm not sure how to to build just this addon as it was built in the system of LE. (looking for an RPi 3 LE 8.2 build)

Tvh addon buildserver is now changed and there are now fresh new builds

- all platforms support now transcoding

- HW transcoding for Generic and RPi (even this is currently semi broken)

this was an mistake

btw there are NO new builds for LE 8.0, new builds are just for current stable 8.2

Ahhh - looks like they aren't updating Krypton builds with latest pvr.hts - so I'll have to test on LE9.

Basically you have to go to the transcoding settings, create an new transcoding profile with mmal, create an NEW streaming profile and use the transcoding profile you made.

I already tried that, but I always get errors when I open livetv window and than select the new streaming profile.

screens would be of great help.

We are not too sure that it works at all for Tvh. There are not too much reports about it.

There is a lot planed for 4.4 like a complete switch of the GUI framework ,so I think not before mid end 2018.
