Tested more on Sunday and all good. Very stable. Even tried some old SBS 50Hz TV captures provided changed the interface to 50Hz.
Been quite a few weeks, what with my Valerian getting an update to fix Full 3D finally (and resetting zoom to be perfect), this great test build, edge264-mvc decoding MVC on Linux and possibility of an ffmpeg solution in future. Happy 3D days for us fans. Always nice to have options as the HW decoding is fading away.

My seventh Zidoo in three years has just died and while looking for a suitable replacement, probably the OSMC Vero V.
Even though I am not using 3D at the moment I have built up a library of around 100 titles on disc over the years and planned on getting a projector in the next year or two.
Is this project going to be my saviour?
Will it support my frame packed 3D MKV rips as well as a Zidoo or Blu Ray player going forward?

In a word... yes! PQ as good as Zidoo's. Tested MVC MKV, 3D ISO's (although BD-J menus are a hit and miss), FSBS, HSBS and HTAB.

The few 3D ISO's with menus I have are 40GB+. Too large to share. No idea how to get a small sample that includes menus. Know how to extract samples from MKV's and movie only files. I don't care for Blu-ray menus myself, but some users do.
The ones I showed in the video above I had issues with were '3D Rarities' Vol1 and Vol2 discs.
I did find a different bug w/any 3D ISO's that are movie-only, no menus... If you choose 'Show Blu-ray menu', the title plays in 2D. But, if you choose the title directly from the Kodi menu, it plays in 3D:

I have had cut down iso file previously (as samples for bug reports). I think both from an authoring tool and the hacky way.
The hacky way is to mount the iso so you can see the file structure. Delete the larger m2ts files in BDMV/STREAM (i.e. the main feature and any substantial bonuses), and then zip it up. I should be able to play it from the file structure and see the menus, and most of the 40GB+ is gone.

Any chance of a different file host. That says I need chromium when accessed from firefox, and then from chromium gives be a "buy pass" button for £3.90 to download it.
Google drive is often a good choice.

popcornmix, this is amazing work. i Have both a pi4 aoi keyboard unit, and a pi58gb as well as LG 2016 oled, samsung 2014, Valerion Pro 2 and Eps 6040UB projectors as well as Zidoo RT1619DR based players, and even an Oppo 203 UHD player to test 3D. I do not have any AML boxes at this time. Let Me know if I can help in anyway, I also have a 5th gen Nuc, and 10 Gen nuc as well. for X64 testing or LE etc.

I'm sure more m2ts/ssif files could be removed. You might want a few remaining that are used as animated scenes between menu items, but they are probably only seconds long, so very small.
ok I have the build with ffmpeg 9 on a pi 5 / 8gb up and running on Valerion Pro 2, I am plugged straight into the projector , so my sound is on the built in speaker. but its performing well, shows 1080p t/b 3d and converts on the fly to a framepacked signal on the valerion pro 2, without interaction. It been so long since i have used kodi, but i was once very heavily invested and its coming back . Got 4 nas up and mapped with 3d. iso, and mvc mkv files.

Can't get that to open menu - I do see attempts to open missing files: 00002.m2ts 00008.m2ts 00010.m2ts

edit: I think I've got it to open.
I tried your Pi4 build it with a spare Raspberry Pi 4B 8GB and basically everything worked. Compressed FSBS files (3840x1080) were being processed on the fly and sent as frame-packed. However, as soon as I tried larger 3D MVC rips with higher bitrates of about 42–48 Mb/s, there was severe stuttering during playback. I switched from SMB to NFS and tried various tweaks in Kodi and LibreELEC, but nothing helped. Eventually, I gave up. I think the RP4's hardware is not powerful enough. Should I try again with an RP5?
