I pieced together an Intel i3 system from left over parts and no easy ethernet. I'm looking to buy a pci-e wifi adapter and curious what to look for LE supported. I have a USB Ac1200M wifi adapter and it's not working well. Any thoughts?

Intel AX210 cards are well supported on notebooks.
Trying one of the inexpensive AX210 PCE-E to M.2 wifi cards should work OOTB.

Thanks for info. Much appreciated.

I'm also using AX210's in my machines and they work well ootb. They're $12-15 on aliexpress for the m.2 card or $15-20 for it on a pci-e adapter card. I also have an Intel BE200 (wifi 7) but haven't tried that yet and I know they don't work with AMD either (but people haven't worked out why).

I decided on a TP-link AXE5400 PCIe adapter with external antennas. Could not be more pleased with results. Excellent signal reception and steady 80% increase over my little usb adapter. A bit more expensive but well worth it. And yes OOTB with no issues.
