I'm not very adept with how this stuff works but I had a raspberry pi 4 running libreelec Kodi, and used to run an ssd that working completely fine but I lost it and recently purchased a new ssd and plugging it in found that its not there to select my media files on and I cant seem to find it anywhere when I look through the available options. the SSD is a USB 3.2 external SSD

Probably pre-formated as NTFS. Format as ext4.
-
just curious how would I go about that because I transfer a lot of media files from windows to this drive, is there a way to format it as ext4 on windows?
The Drive I had before was formatted in ntfs and it worked completely fine -
Please provide a full debug log.How to post a log (wiki)1. Enable debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging2. Restart Kodi3. Replicate the problem4. Generate a log URL (do not post/upload logs to the forum)
use "Settings > LibreELEC > System > Paste system logs" or run "pastekodi" over SSH, then post the URL link -

ThreadUsb Hard drive not recongize since 11.0.4
Hi,
my external hard drive is not recognize on libreelec since 11.0.4 version. I install 11.0.5 and still the same issue.
I don't know why because it works on previous versions and other os like osmc.
Do someone has an idea to help me?

Latest post from mglae is here:
ThreadImproving ntfs3 kernel mount
As further follow up to my post here is an improved mount.ntfs script using ntfs-3g.probe and ntfsfix for fixing simple "dirty flag" issues.
This is experimental. If you are willing to test install the attached addon from ZIP on your LE12 or LE13 system.
If there are issues provide a system log, minimal with journalctl -u 'udevil-mount@*'|paste or a complete log via LE addon.mglaeNovember 27, 2024 at 6:43 PM
