pi not seeing my new ssd

  • I'm not very adept with how this stuff works but I had a raspberry pi 4 running libreelec Kodi, and used to run an ssd that working completely fine but I lost it and recently purchased a new ssd and plugging it in found that its not there to select my media files on and I cant seem to find it anywhere when I look through the available options. the SSD is a USB 3.2 external SSD

  • just curious how would I go about that because I transfer a lot of media files from windows to this drive, is there a way to format it as ext4 on windows?
The Drive I had before was formatted in ntfs and it worked completely fine

  • Please provide a full debug log.

How to post a log (wiki)

    1. Enable debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging
    2. Restart Kodi
    3. Replicate the problem
    4. Generate a log URL (do not post/upload logs to the forum)

use "Settings > LibreELEC > System > Paste system logs" or run "pastekodi" over SSH, then post the URL link

I didn't know you've already copied data. Before formatting to ext4, or providing a debug log, you can try the brand new NTFS-3G add-on. Maybe that's enough to solve your problem. Details here:
