Hi, does anyone know if this is a feature that might be coming, or is this something that probably won’t be possible?
This Pi 5 is amazing with my hdr TV’s, but the lack of tone mapping really limits it for my older projector. TIA!

Not for 4K. There's no dedicated hardware that can handle it, and it's too much processing for the 3d hardware or arm CPUs.

For one of my tv's that not support HDR i use a Banana Pi M5 with CoreELEC 21, it is capable of tone mapping to SDR.
Another + for the M5 with CE is that i have 2 ssd connected directly to usb (boots from emmc) without external power supply, never had any problems with faulty file system like with LE.
