No idea abot M5 with LE, i run mine with CoreELEC 21 on emmc, it works pretty good and supports tonemapping HDR to SDR which is what i use it for with a non-HDR tv.
As long as you understand there is no hardware decoding and that limits things to 1080p, it'll run fine.
arrgh, didnt realized on that, big negative point for s905x3 then, i dont run more than 1080p because of my old tv, however that would be step back from my allwinner h6 that has has hw decodig if needed...

What about it. The Rock64 does support hardware decoding in LE.
Hello everyone, I've just started a thread right about BPI-M5: LE 12 (nor 11) not coming up on Banana Pi M5 (BPI-M5)
In brief, BPI-M5 will not boot with an LE image out of the box (LE SD creator), so it definitely needs some workaround.
