[RPi4] I can't find the Portainer addon

  • Hello LibreELEC community,

I'm currently running LibreELEC 11.0.3 on my Raspberry Pi 4 and have added the LinuxServer.io Docker Add-Ons repository. After successfully installing the Docker add-on, I'm facing difficulties in locating the Portainer add-on in the available options within the LibreELEC interface.

I've checked the forums and noticed that some users have managed to install Portainer as a GUI add-on on LibreELEC. This approach seems straightforward and user-friendly, which I would prefer. However, I haven't been able to locate the Portainer add-on in my LibreELEC setup, despite my efforts.

Reviewing the available add-ons at https://github.com/linuxserver/libreelec-addon-repo, it's apparent that not all add-ons are accessible for installation in my LibreELEC setup.

I'd greatly appreciate your clarification on whether Portainer can indeed be installed through the LibreELEC GUI, as suggested by other community members. If that's not the case, please let me know if I've misunderstood and whether SSH installation is the only available option.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

  • Portainer isn't listed in the LSIO fleet now https://fleet.linuxserver.io/ hence it's not available in the LSIO add-on repo either. I'm fairly sure it was there in the past, hence there might be posts referring to it in old form threads. You'll need to install it from another source using the SSH console.

  • Thank you for the clarification. I appreciate your help in clearing up the confusion. I must have come across older posts referencing it.

I'll go ahead and explore SSH installation options to get Portainer up and running.
