Just FWIW, I've tested this image with a Hades Canyon NUC and an ASRock J4205-ITX board (Apollo Lake w/1.77.93 LSPCON firmware) and both perform with HDR content switching wonderfully (w/PRIME HW decoding).

I know my Hades Canyon NUC has native HDMI 2.0b ports, but I wasn't expecting the Apollo Lake board to work with HDR content due to the internal DP-HDMI LSPCON, but it's certainly proved me wrong.

Had to double check it's the same MCDP2800 LSPCON, and it is: https://www.kinet-ic.com/mcdp2800/

Again, all updated fine and worked with HDR content switching fine also.

I have some problems with this new "Atmos fix" -version with NUC8 Coffee Lake. Now Atmos was fine as expected, but some HDR content was recognized as SDR and subtitle positioning is no longer working. Went back to earlier version for now.

intel UHD 630

LG OLD C7

Pioneer SC-LX704 | AV Receivers

my bord Supports HDMI 2.0 with max. resolution up to 4K x 2K (4096x2160) @ 60Hz & Supports HDR with HDMI 2.0

i use build "smp" for HDR , and HDR working via 4K & 23Hz & or 1080p & 60Hz and color: 36bit OK

but color set 24bit if i use 4K & 60/50Hz

and no HDR for PVR DVB Addon

my questions:

1- Is the limitation from hardware or software?

2- Is there a way to change RGB color to YCbCr?

3- Why is the Kodi-20 interface is 24 colors and not 36 colors as in Kodi-19?

Limitation of the Intel kernel driver. It can only do RGB/YCbCr 4:4:4, so deep color is not possible with 4K 50/60Hz.

HDR is supported for 4K 50/60Hz, just not at the optimal color depth.

In my build I enabled GPU dithering for 8-bit modes to eliminate color banding for 4K 50/60Hz.

In fact, I did not notice a big difference in colors when playing the video in terms of colors

The only difference in Kodi interface is that it looks like it's not as deep color as the build LE10.0.1

Are your patches maybe available somewhere so adventurous people could try to build images themselfs? Maybe it could reduce the work for you when people asking for new builds? I would volunteer to give it a try

Only YCbCr 4:2:0 8-bit. And it's not configurable via userspace.
