Uptading to nightly images

Good morning/evening/night

I have a question which is if I uptade to nightly image can I later uptade on a stable version once it will be available or uptade to future stable images after the nightly image becomes stable ?(I am having libreelec 9.2.6 and I am looking to uptade to the hdr 4k build and I am using a raspberry pi 4b 8gb ram model)

Yes. As long as the version number keeps increasing all is fine.

And sorry if it's very dumb question but I have currently 9.2.6 version how can I uptade libreelec without losing any data like addons (as I mentioned I want to install the hdr 4k version ? (Sorry if it's dumb question again)

Upgrading from Leia to Matrix and expecting existing add-ons to be working after will be hit and miss. Personally I would try out LE10 as clean install on spare sd (then you can still switch between until your happy with Matrix)

I know in fact the addons I want are supoorted in kodi matrix since they support python 3
