ERROR: CMMALPool::GetBuffer

Raspi 4B with Libreelec 9.2.6, no banned repositories. Sometimes it just hangs. In this case N-TV which is only a STDV station.

Using tvheadend.

After this, Kodi does not act on the remote control anymore - I can however still ssh to it.

Happens rarely, maybe once or twice per week.

And - can somebody please explain why this forum censors the word "w e i g h t"?

Please try with disabled de-interlacing. You can find this setting inside the gear wheel menu while playing a video stream.

I had a discussion about censored words, too (Website and Forum Feedback). There is no way to reduce the blacklist of words.

Since this happens only rarely, I rather do not want to disable de-interlacing, it is important to me.

Is there some debug setting that would deliver more specific info next time?

There are log levels available at advancedsettings.xml, but I don't think you will get more info by increasing the log level.

If you want to find out the reason of the issue, deactivate de-interlacing just for testing. Logging doesn't tells the whole story.

Try the latest LE nightly build, which has some improvements: Click! Put the img.gz file into the /storage/.update folder and reboot.

See if the currently RPi4 nightly images improve things for you. There will be no further development on MMAL support in Kodi (we removed it) or the LE 9.2 codebase (no further releases). At least if you see issues with the nightly images it's something that can be worked on.
