Hello. Installed mpd on LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-9.2.4. But the local MPD client cannot connect to it. The server sees the remote client MPDdroid, but cannot do anything with it. When connecting via ssh, after entering the mpd command, the message "exception: No configuration file found" appears. I understand correctly that the filesystem is read-only and mpd cannot create mpd.conf. Can you please tell me what to do?

Colleagues, would you be so kind, please tell me. How do I install a mpd on libreelec?

I'm no technician, but perhaps using docker will get you a better environment for setting up external applications.

Yeah, Docker is your solution: Click.

you need to create a config at your userfiles directory, afterwards the addon should work, no need for docker
from windows explorer its (change to your ip) \\192.168.xxx.xxx\Userdata\addon_data\service.mpd
no need to write anything to the read only part of LE for it -
I am also having this issue.
Taking a look in the following directory
Shows there is a mpd.conf file present.
My client can connect and see the music present, however it can't control the server, and running mpd from the command prompt has the same issue as the OP

Ah,
My error. My mpd client application still had its cache loaded from another server.
It appears to be able to control the mpd server now. I'm just trying to pipe it all through snapcast now.
