Hello guys, I am pretty new with raspberry pi 4 and have been fiddling with it to get kodi on my tv. First there were issues with hdmi not showing anything at all until i played around and lowered resolution to 720p. However if I put it to 1080p, it goes dark and after a while i see a mostly green screen flicking all over the place. I was wondering if you guys had any idea what it could be? Is it a weak hdmi cable?

Yes, I would say so. Make sure your HDMI cable is HDMI 2.0 or 2.1 standard. Then it's ready to transfer higher data rate, like 4K.

It's downwards compatible. Basically it's just about shielding.

HDMI cables do not have versions, (even though stores will sell with words to that effect). The version numbers relate to the port in your TV/AMP etc. If you want to display 4K resolutions for example just make sure that the cable has the HDMI high speed logo on the packet/cable

Those are different words for the same. HDMI High Speed means HDMI 1.3 speed, HDMI Premium High Speed means HDMI 2.0 or 2.1 speed. Despite HDMI 1.3 should be fast enough for 4K, I always suggest 2.0 / 2.1 to be on the safe side and future proofed. It's simply even faster.
