No CEC Adapter in new Intel NUC install LE 9.2.3

Hey all,

I just did a fresh install of the latest LE for Intel NUC. Easy install and all seems fine, apart from the CEC Adapter. It is missing; When I go SYSTEM -> Input ->Peripherals, there is nothing listed.

Tried multiple HDMI cables and ports, and reboots of the device each time. No go.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Does your NUC have a CEC adapter/controller on board..?

I doubt it, because 99% of all Intel PC hardware does not.

Otherwise, a Pulse-Eight USB-CEC adapter will be necessary.

I think some of the newer NUC's have on-board CEC. You may have to enter the BIOS to enable it.

yes you can enable it in the bios but you cannot control kodi with it.

you need a pulse eight adaptor or chip which you can clip on your mobo.

Marciano Looks like you are right, the onboard CEC is not up to the task.

I have ordered a Pulse Eight CEC USB adapter...
