RobzInadE This is not S802/S812 support thread. Moreover, S805 doesn't support DD+ passthrough, so it's not something anyone can help you with here.

Okay, good enough
Am I right in assuming the S812-H does not support DD+ (E-AC3) as well?

No idea actually. You have to look it up in the datasheet if it's available somewhere...
-
sonofdibnah I will check if I can bring the driver back to 8.x builds. I had issues compiling it.
Thanks for trying kszaq. If I need wifi, I can always use the wifi dongle so there's no problem if it can't be done.
-
I am not sure how to add it, or change one of the above menu items.
You can edit the corresponding .xml file
-
v8.1.1 is available to downlaod how come there is no mention of it here .
-
No time to test = no note in OP. Outrageous, isn't it?

I was just wondering
Thank you kszaq for your hard work

viper76 Feel free to update to 8.1.1, it should work just fine.

Hi, I´m using LibreELEC-S805.arm-8.2-8.1.1-MXQ.img in my MK808B+ and Kodi works great...
I have a problem with CEC in my Samsung TV.
I want to know if this happens only to my or is a common bug (because you always note in your releases: sometimes CEC may not work)
In my case CEC works but very often fails. I mean, I boot my MK808B+ and in my Samsung TV appears Anynet+ Kodi, so I change to that and works well, but suddenly (for no reason) my remote stop working and my TV says: There is not a Anynet source.
Happens at different moments, sometimes with I navigate the Kodi interface, but also when I am viewing a movie.
The only fix I found (besides reboot) is logging in SSH and type this command:
kodi-send --action="CECActivateSource"after that CEC start working again.
I read here the user sammaz have a similar problem.
I could provide logs if you want.

Maybe related to this
fixed: send an active source message when a routing change has been r… · Pulse-Eight/libcec@67d444d · GitHub
Also I think libcec-3953f8d fixes this issue (forgot which commit exactly). Because on RPi there were similar issue. -

Also I think libcec-3953f8d fixes this issue (forgot which commit exactly). Because on RPi there were similar issue.I don´t know but I dont think so, because 8.1.1, is from July 2017 and that patch is from March, but only kszaq knows if that patch is included.
I suspect what its not the case because I have a Raspberry Pi 1 long time ago, and NEVER CEC was a problem.
-
LE 8.0/8.2 uses libcec 4.0.2, this patch is not a part of it. I can try to add the patch to next build if it applies cleanly.
-
I do not think that's the problem, because that patch refers to conmute the source in the TV dont been recognized.
In my case I change to CEC without problem, used for a while until CEC stop working.
I attach TWO logs where I recreate the problem. Boot, use the interface of Kodi, left and right between the differents menus until CEC stop working. In the two logs the last line before I lose CEC is:
T:3021882160 DEBUG: SECTION:UnloadDelayed(DLL: libnfs.so.8)
I dont know much of this. kszaq maybe could analize this better.

The latest revision has not been tested for S805. The compile error is already fixed in my development branch.
