Thanks kszaq link worked a treat and now currently updating to latest version. Thanks for all your hard work

My MXQ locks after a few hours when I use TVheadend HTSP Client with 8.0 on 7.0 it worked perfect.

Am i the only M201D user that is having serious lock ups everything seems fine with just kodi running but as soon as i put any addenda on it just keeps locking up.

fanni m201d stability should be improved since 8.1.6.
Edit: whoops, not really. You can add echo hotplug > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_governor
to autostart.sh before I fix this.

Me again
Seems it has improved but still locks up after a couple of minutes of going through menus i have installed my own personal build though which has a few addons on but runs fine on a HD18Q box that i have upstairs

Just updated to 8.1.9 on my m201d build Just simply moving through the menu on front screen causes it to lock up still the only way to get it working again is to pull the power lead.
Have included logs if it helps
Thanks for your continued support
-
fanni When do you collect the log? During the freeze or after a reboot?
-
after reboot as it won't let me connect once frozen it complete crashes
-
Okay, so it's not that useful as anything useful would be in kernel log. I'll try to dig out my m201d box this week and reproduce the issue.

I added the Autostart to my M201d fake RAM box which was locking up just moving through Kodi then I put the echo hotplug > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_governor in the auto file and its been great. But the Autostart file I manually added this. It was dated over 1 month ago. Since you added this in the 8.1.9 I would of expected it to be overwritten and new date. It was not I just used the Tar file and dropped in Update folder as I usually do. Does it skip if it see's its already done ? Box is running great just wondering if the tar file has the Autostart ?
So its working but thought you added it in 8.1.9 ?
thanks for all your work.

autostart.sh is user created content that lives in /storage/.config so it will not be touched by the update process

autostart.sh is user created content that lives in /storage/.config so it will not be touched by the update process
According to Kszaq he was going to add this to the latest update so I assume that's where he will put it ?
Changelog:
- merged upstream LE 8.2 changes
- updated all Realtek drivers
- actually applied freezing fix for m201d
-
autostart.sh has nothing to do with the changes I made:
- you added a switch to "hotplug" governor in autostart.sh
- I added it in the platform_init script
- the update will not modify your autostart.sh file
- there is nothing wrong with "hotplug" governor being set 2 times
-
... so I assume that's where he will put it ?
No - he will put nothing to autostart.sh
