Hi,
Is Multichannel PCM disabled in 8.0.1c? Was a bit bugy in 1a, but in 1c... Nothing.
Hi,

I'm having some DVB-T issues with versions 8.0.1b and 8.0.1c (8.0.1a is fine). Video is very choppy and showing as skipping a lot of frames. I've uploaded a sample that I've just quickly recorded as an example @ Dropbox - Escape to the Country-BBC ONE HD2017-04-0415-00-1.tsShows recorded in version 8.0.1b (I assume c is the same but I haven't tried) playback fine on 8.0.1a.
Thank you for the sample. It looks like Amlogic fixes one thing and breaks another in their kernel updates. I will try to fix this if I can.
Thanks for the updateSo, all i need to upgrade version A to version C is put the following files in update folder?
Dont need to rename gxl_p212_2g.dtb right?
It seems a bit strange to me too but ... from FAQs:

Note: You should also download a new device tree, and put in Update folder with an update file. You should have both files in Update folder before rebooting. You do not need to rename device tree file before updating.
First thanks for the excellent work
I get a "Bootloader has not been updated" is that normal?

Yes
Same here - no more freezing using 8.0.1c on my Beelink Mini MXIII II.
I'm rebuilding 8.0.1c now to fix multichannel PCM audio.
Hi Kszaq: I can't access your latest file. Can you provide me a working link pls?
kszaq,
would you be able to patch/commit the following: GEBW
It's to fix an issue reported by KubrickDave earlier and from thread-2156-post-43411.html#pid43411

Hmm... I installed the "c" update a few hours ago and multichannel PCM seems to be working.
I only tested the samples I found at the Kodi samples page (LPCM 5.1 & 7.1)

If you have channel settings set to 2.0, you get AC3 (stereo) passthrough, if you set channels to 5.1 or 7.1 then nada.

I have a 5.1 system and my AVR reports multicahnnel (7.1) PCM
My settings are 5.1 channels and "Best match" output configuration. Audio passthrough is enabled, of course.

Same here, with the first 8.0.1c everything was fine, Multi CH was good but I've tried the latest "c" and now I have too many skips, back to the previous "c" build.

Maybe a little misunderstanding. I think the problem is not transferring PCM data over HDMI, but converting none Passthrough formats to PCM. like flac, acc, etc..

blinkmxq: Thanks for this patch! I haven't had time to test your build yet, but would also like to see this included in kszaq's builds.

I played 5.1 FLACs and AACs with the early 8.0.1c release. The only problem I found is that the FLACs play as 2.0, not 5.1 even though Kodi recognize them as 5.1 files.
Interestingly, my AVR shows that the input signal is 192kHz. I thought the S905X was limited to 96kHz.
Thank's a lot, 1c is now working and every thing is back to normal

If I set my audio config to 7.1 fixed 192khz i can even play films with DTS-HD MA 7.1 as LPCM 7.1 192Khz
