NUC8i3 plays UHD/60 on TV but not on projector

  • I have NUC8i3 with LibreELEC 9.2.0. It plays UHD video 60fps on my Visio TV without a problem. When I moved it to my HT it goes only 30fps and I can't change it to 60fps.

My projector (Pro Cinema 6040 UB) plays UHD/60, so why LibreELEC limits video to 30fps? How can I enforce LibreELEC to 2160p/60fps?

LibreELEC doesn't offer HDR yet so it is not a problem.

Any idea what should I do?

    Regards

  • I believe this projector's HDMI port is limited to a maximum pixel clock frequency of 300mhz. This means it will only support 4K 50/60hz 4:2:0 8-bit.

4K 4:2:0 does not work on standard X11 builds of LibreELEC. AFAIK it's a limitation of Intel driver and/or X11.

    This is correct.

It makes sens. Works on Vizio but not PJ.

So projector accepting 4K/60 4:4:4 should work like my VisioTV, it means 2160p/60fps and 4:4:4 or 4:2:2, right?
