Epg not working after migration from openelec 6

I have a cron job downloading an xmltv file every night. tv_grab_file is working and the settings in tvheadend 4.09
point to the file. But no epg. What am I missing? Everything else seems to work after the upgrade without changes.

Have you tried a newer TVHeadend version? TVHeadend42 should be available in the repos.

Also what EPG source do you use? I had the same issue and realised the provider I was using did not provide any updates anymore hence the XML file was outdated and pretty much disregarded by TVH.

Thanks Nils. Just my bad luck that switching to libreelec coincided with the xml source drying up!
Now just need to work out how to use xmltv...

Yes had exactly the same thing happening.... I'd recommend you to have a look at the WebGrab ++ add-on works just brilliant for me
