[7.0.3.3d] LibreELEC 7.0 for S805

  • first off many thanks for the help my friends. i had been testing my box running on 512 meg. when i stream hd it seems like audio is out of sync sometimes. if i browse through the menu while streaming the box would freeze. i also got remote to work i did have to delete text from remote.conf.text thanks for the tip but the volume button up doesnt work. u guys been a lots of help i really thank yall for that. im a straight noob but whats more worse is that im a visual learner lots of letters makes my head hurt. lol

  • How do you get twrp on the box and how do you copy the files with it? I thought twrp was an android recovery?

Run it from SD card. Rename twrp recovery to recovery.img, place it in the root of your SD card and boot to recovery
There are many builds of TWRP, make sure you get one confirmed working correctly with your device.

  • Also I still don't understand why I need twrp? How do I copy the .sh and .start files using twrp?

You don't need TWRP for that. If you have any problems using SSH, you can use TWRP for that (it has a file manager and SMB share and also SSH, I believe)

  • Use the HD18Q or MXQ build (whichever one gets your WiFi working) and then drop the remote.conf from the m201d build into /storage/.config via SSH or, alternatively, the configfiles samba share

unfortunately none of the builds have a working wifi for me. Could this board now have a different wifi chip?

  • Thanks for this, works great on my all black mxq (HD180 build) no isses exept, power light and I can't run retroarch.

Is there an alternitive guide for your retroarch build?

    This link is down

Retroarch addon for Openelec on MK808B+ and MXQ - FreakTab.com

    Thanks again.

any logs? That would help with the Retroarch plugin...I have the latest 1.3.6 Retroarch running great on the latest Libreelec...It must be a hardware issue?

  • Hi guys, someone was able to get work hyperion?

It has something to do with amlogic's amcodec and hyperion doesnt work with it, if you try the hyperion forum there is a guide on how to forward the captured display on amlogic devices. But I have yet to get it to work.

  • Hi,

Have a memory ram size question/issue...

Its a Leelbox MXQ that the only version of LibreELEC that seems to work and running from NAND is LibreELEC-S805.m201d.arm-7.0.2.4...

Tried all the other 3 versions and they will just brick it and it gets a struck on MXQ screen at boot up...

System Runs fine with the LibreELEC-S805.m201d.arm-7.0.2.4 other then its not reporting the 1gb memory, only 512k memory...
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    LibreELEC:~ # free -m

total used free shared buffers cached
    Mem: 343 279 64 0 27 82
    -/+ buffers/cache: 170 173
    Swap: 255 0 255
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Did note that this LibreELEC version was for some 512k models... would there be somewhere a setting that can be changed to use the full 1gb of memory...

Edit: Just read on a earlier post that they are Faking out the 1gb memory and is only using 512k memory even that the memory chips say 512k... Oh well... still more memory then the Apple iTV rev1....

    Thanks in Advance...

    Model: Leelbox(red stripe) MXQ
    NAND: LibreELEC-S805.m201d.arm-7.0.2.4
    Board Version: MXQ_S805 V3_1 20151230
Android Version that works (now overritten): cyx_MXQ_8189etv_8g1g_160419_USB.img

  • Last batch of mxq I had was 512. The bad thing about when streaming sound would be out of sync then later it would just freeze up. It was very annoying.

  • any logs? That would help with the Retroarch plugin...I have the latest 1.3.6 Retroarch running great on the latest Libreelec...It must be a hardware issue?

Thanks for replying, I got it to work via shh, only issue is I can start it from kodi, freaktab.com is back up for me now, I will read the posts and will post there if I don't find a solution, thanks again.

  • @asmar2 I have no knowledge how DVB drivers work, I just include them. Your log is not collected correctly - you should have rebooted before collecting it - but from what I can see you should try connecting the tuner over a powered USB hub first. Here's the error you are having:

    Code
    dvb_usb_v2: usb_bulk_msg() failed=-110

and a solution from someone with similar issue on other platform: OpenELEC Mediacenter - OpenELEC Forum - Error dvb_usb_v2: 2nd usb_bulk_msg() failed=-110 (1/1)

  • try it via hub usb but not help me ...
