Updating Intel NUC from 9.0.0 to 9.0.1

  • Hello everybody,

I am new to LibreELEC and did my first build with 9.0.0. It's been a little bumpy during playback, and I'd like to upgrade to the newly released 9.0.1.

Hardware is an Intel NUC Gen 7 i5, 16GB RAM, Intel SSD, Wired Network.

Can any of you suggest the best procedure to perform this upgrade??

I am not afraid to SSH if that is the procedure. I just want to do it right. I'm not running any add-ons or anything special. All content is stored locally on my network.

    Thank you so much,

    Raul

  • Go to:

    - Add-ons

    - LibreELEC Configuration

    - Updates

    - Click on Automatic Updates and change to Manual

    - Click Update Channel and select LE 9.0

    - Click on Available Versions

    - Wait until version list appears

    - Select latest version

  • Thanks Blueribb!

I got it done!! The only thing to add to your instructions is after you change automatic updates to manual, you must turn on "show custom channels"

    Thanks again!!

  • It's one of those things that still requires manual humanoid action to activate it.

    We'll have a stern talking-to with those responsible. ^^

No worries:) I just have a couple remote NUCs that I would love to stop manually updating now that the stable version is released. Having remote connects available is not something I like to practice for too long.
