Issue when trying to update

    Hi,

    With the help of some members of this forum, about a month ago I successfully managed to update my Slice from CM1 to CM3 (using the 8.9.008 image). Today I decided update to the 8.9.5 image thru the GUI update feature, by following the procedure detailed in this video. However, whenever I click the LibreElec icon I the following message,

    "Settings addon is not yet ready, please try again later."

    As a result I can't go any further than this to update to the latest versions.

    In doing a search, I came across this thread but it didn't seem to offer any solution.

    I originally had the Esturay theme as default when I encountered this message. Changed it to Conluence, same result.

    Does anybody have any idea what is going on and how to fix it?

    You could provide a kodi.log for starters.

    When problems occur, using Estuary is vital as it is the system default skin for Kodi. Are they any busy processes in the background that might interfere with core Kodi functionality? Or any installed addons that might disrupt things?

    Please provide a full debug log.

    How to post a log (wiki)

    1. Enable debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging
    2. Restart Kodi
    3. Replicate the problem
    4. Generate a log URL (do not post/upload logs to the forum)

    use "Settings > LibreELEC > System > Paste system logs" or run "pastekodi" over SSH, then post the URL link
