  • Add new image 20190925 KODI-18

    Thanks balbes150 ,

    but unfortunately I don't get to test it before the weekend, I'll give you my feedback here.

    Many greetings

  • I'll give your NanoPC-T4 dtb a test today and post the results with the official Rock960 image from test.libreelec.tv.

    Hi Aciel,

    does the Rock960 image also support EMMC incl. installation?

  • Hi Aciel,

    does the Rock960 image also support EMMC incl. installation?

    Official images don't show the eMMC device block at all. I want to run LE from the SDCard and leave eMMC for Android/Linux Distro so I can switch in-between them.

    Can you please post your output of blkid

    Tested NanoPC-T4 dtb from image 20190925 KODI-18 and:

    Ethernet = Working

    WiFi = Working

    Bluetooth = Working

    HDMI & Sound = Working, [email protected] (my TV max)

    eMMC = Sorry, not using your image so can't test this out. JerryPenguin will comment on this.

    How's 10bit HEVC & 10bit x264 performance on your images?

    Edit 1: Day 2 of testing you dtb. Why do I think with your dtb, there is a 70% less caching issue on playback. JerryPenguin, can you test it too please

    Hi balbes150, hi Aciel,

    tomorrow I will test the new image on my NanoPC-T4 and report about it.

    Today until I'm still at work ... can hardly wait any longer :-)

  • New image 20190928 with support for new binary Addons for KODI-19.

    Hallo balbes150,

    so, I tested your new image 20190928 with the DTB for nanopc-t4 directly from the image.

    boot -> ok, not so fast as under Armbian

    WiFI -> ok

    WiredNet -> ok

    EMMC -> ok

    Bluetooth -> ok

    Video -> ok (max 1920x1024x60Hz)

    Sound (HDMI) -> ok

    Sound (USB) -> ok

    EMBY -> ok

    TVHeadend Client -> ok

    The image runs stable and the CPU load is very low.

    For me a successful image.

    I've been using it for 24h and just transferred it to my EMMC.

    Thank you very much for your wonderful work.

    Many greetings

  • Can you test this test image with kernel 5 on T4 ? On EDGE at me KODI does not start, I am interested that will be on T4 with that DTB which is a part of an image.

    Hallo balbes150,

    so, I tested your new image 20190929 with Kernel 5 und the DTB for nanopc-t4 directly from the image.

    boot -> ok

    WiFi -> not ok :-( (no hardware is found and therefore no kernel module is loaded)

    WiredNet -> ok

    EMMC -> ok

    Bluetooth -> not ok :-( (no hardware is found and therefore no kernel module is loaded)

    Video -> ok (max 1920x1024x60Hz)

    Sound (HDMI) -> ok

    Sound (USB) -> not tested

    The first time that CEC works on my NanoPC-T4 and a connected TV (here Panasonic).

    That's great! :-) :thumbup:

    EMBY -> not tested

    TVHeadend Client -> not tested

    Many greetings

  • In the latest build Kodi 19 does not start (LibreELEC-RK3399.arm-9.80-devel-20191011115114-6e9040d-box.img) I think you forgot to link the libraries:

    Log entry:

    Oct 11 19:57:01 LibreELEC kodi.sh[1432]: /usr/lib/kodi/kodi.bin: error while loading shared libraries: librockchip_mpp.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

    I have not tested the behaviour described in the forum. I only flashed the image to a SD card and started.

    I switched to one earlier build (LibreELEC-RK3399.arm-9.80-devel-20191004125028-60568a1-box.img) and Kodi starts.

  • The latest versions of Libreelec (and Armbian) added the to start the system from USB media. Can you test this new feature on your T4 ? Details can be found in this topic.

    Hi balbes150,

    at the moment I don't know how to start the NanoPC-T4 from USB, so I haven't tested it yet.

    I have tested your Image with Kernel Version 5: LibreELEC-RK3399.arm-9.80-devel-20191011115114-6e9040d-box.img.gz

    The image starts from SD, the partitions are extended and after the restart the boot process hangs on the SplashScreen of LE, in the upper left corner you can see your LE version.

    I can't find a LOG on the SD Card after that.

    zeus24:

    Where did you find the LOG entry?

    Many greetings

    PS:

    I'm also testing the Armbian image.

    What is the difference between the images (desktop and normal) ?
