Is upgrade through the GUI possible?
If not, should we use this image for the upgrade? Can't find link to it in LibreELEC (unofficial) Kodi builds for additional DVB Drivers
LibreELEC 8.x images for additional dvb drivers

Is upgrade through the GUI possible?no, this image is purely for test purposes - you can drop it into the update folder of your samba network share of your box and reboot (LE supports .tar and .img.gz files for upgrade)
pls pls pls DO A BACKUP before !I rebase it as soon all stuff is available for Kernel 4.9 (released yesterday).

it looks like you haven't activate the driver at the addon ?! There is no message from a loaded driver at all

It's T230 as seen in the log.
Also I can't find DVB configuration tool which is present in previous 008 alpha. Can it be the reason?
Should I make soft reset, or something? -

upps i forgot to say that i had to remove the NVIDIA drivers because they don't build for the RC of Kernel 4.9 (if 4.9 is official is released there are new nvidia drivers that work)Ahhhh suck. I had the choice of nVidia and ATi as well :P. Any idea of ETA for the stable release of 4.9 kernel ?
In the meantime, is there anything I can do myself, i.e add the drivers I need ? The Sundtek stick I have installs the drivers via a kodi add-on which then appears in tvheadend. I'm fairly new to linux, but it doesn't take me long to suss things out if there's a guide to follow ?
Thanks for the reply and all your efforts CvH
I can't waitMe either !

Is there anything I can do myself in the meantime,Not really, I got today LE 7.90.009 + Kernel 4.9.0 + TBS drivers + Geniatech T230C driver at least compiling (should work - i guess) <- high potential to get included into official 7.90.010+, Nvidia has still nothing released to support 4.9
currently trying if I get SAA716x also working. After that I have to do a clean build over night that I have something to test tomorrow. -

Good news, sounds like you're getting closer to a out of the box solution. Is your new build compiling with the Nvidia drivers or have you had to remove again ?

And what about Dvb drivers configuration addon? Is it gone?works for me using CvH build - 7.0.2 with dvb-c
i had to go to the dvb drivers option and choose media_build, otherwise i got insane continuity errors. i got the odd ones now on HD channels but it does not affect viewing.using mygica T230 (not T230C)
works on x86 and pi3 version.
note, on my pi3 i had to restart overnight as i think it went to sleep but didn't properly bring up the adapter.. not sure though atm

how do I get to there? Can't find the dvb driver's option addon in previous location when it was a separate icon in Settings screen.. -

How to activate the drivers?
I started the addon and selected the different drivers e.g. "official tbs drivers" -
Thanks snailboy1,
how do I get to there? Can't find the dvb driver's option addon in previous location when it was a separate icon in Settings screen..in system, along the bottom where you have Settings, File Manager, Libreelec etc etc, one of them should say dvb drivers or something like that.
if you don't see it, you may have used wrong image i guess? -
