    Since ePSXe is proprietary & closed source it won't happen. I have no clue in what environment it's build and have no intentions to fix this by building compat libs all the time. /shrug

  • Hi, I have a problem with the sound, it doesn't work on EmulationStation, but on Kodi it works fine. I tried the possible solutions on FAQ, but I'm still without sound on ES.

    Now I'm trying on a Notebook Core i3-6006U but I've tried on some different systems like: Desktop Core i3-3250 with a basic H61 Mobo, Desktop IPXJ1800E2, Desktop Core i7-4770 with a basic H81 Mobo. All those with the same problem.

    I've added two examples to the FAQ, have you tried any other device in Kodi too? sysdefault:CARD=PCH for example works for RPi but normally you have to chose something else for Generic builds. If you've tried systems beside your notebook did you use external speakers what was your output device?

    Anyway you can try to switch to PulseAudio in the advanced.conf what might detects the correct audio device then.

    You could also use trial & error:

    this works for me & outputs some pink noise on every channel of my 5.1 (5+1=6) system.

    speaker-test -D hdmi:CARD=PCH,DEV=0 -c 6

    So you could replace these vars with appropriate ones of your setup and try until you find a working one.

    speaker-test -D hdmi:CARD=PCH,DEV=0 -c 2

  • Error on speaker-test: surround21, surround41, surround50.

    No sound on speaker-test: all the hdmi ones.

    All the other ones worked on Kodi and on speaker-test but they didnt on ES, it's unbelieveable.

    After all this, I tried to change for PulseAudio in the "advanced.conf", then it worked on ES, but on Kodi I needed to keep in the default option.

    When I was using the version beta15a I didnt have this problem, do you know any reason for this problem to happen?

I use UXS myself and it also works fine if you set the correct paths. My config looks like this for example:

    But again you use some kind of speakers if you don't use HDMI sound output? External speakers connected to an audio jack or internal speakers of your notebook?

  • 5schatten i'm trying to start a dolphin game from my kodi skin (aeon nox silvo).

    I tried this ----> sh /usr/bin/dolphin.start /storage/roms/wii/MarioKartwii.wbfs from the CLI and the game is starting.

    But when i'm putting this line in my skin for i.e submenu the game wouldn't start.

    But /usr/bin/frontend-emulationstation.py from skin is starting fine

    What is the difference between starting ES or dolphin game trough costum skins?

    Am i'm using a wrong command or is it just not possible starting dolphin games direct from skin?

    Well I have no clue how the internal speakers are attached to the output device so that's probably the reason why it did not work.
