[SOLVED] Inactive DASH option in youtube add-on after reboot

  • Hi all.

    Hardware Rasbery PI3

    LibreELEC version

Starting Kodi (17.6 Git:a9a7a20). Platform: Linux ARM 32-bit

Using Release Kodi x32 build (version for Raspberry Pi)

Kodi compiled Apr 13 2018 by GCC 6.2.0 for Linux ARM 32-bit version 4.9.80 (264528)

Running on LibreELEC (official): 8.2.5, kernel: Linux ARM 32-bit version 4.9.80

    FFmpeg version/source: ffmpeg-3.1-kodi

Host CPU: ARMv7 Processor rev 4 (v7l), 4 cores available

There was a problem with Youtube add-on YouTube (5.5.1)

When running in the logs I see

NOTICE: [plugin.video.youtube] Startup: detected Unknown Release (Unknown Application-1.0), DASH_SUPPORT_ADDON = False

    Next, I see the entry

NOTICE: [plugin.video.youtube] Running: YouTube (5.5.1) on Krypton (Kodi-17.6) with Python 2.7.13

As a result, I can not turn on DASH in the settings. The option is inactive.

But, if you reinstall the plugin. That appears the opportunity to turn on DASH. After reboot, the option becomes inactive.

    What to do?

    Sorry for my english.

  • Uninstall youtube addon....delete the addondata youtube folder... and restart...then install this...in addon settings enable dash and enable proxy then login to your youtube account..
