I changed to Coreelec 8.95 and found out works great for my needs (and without the samba bug from wrxtasy build)
Installed OpenVFD 1.0.2.0 and extracted the dtb using dd from Android: Dropbox - dtb.img.gz
I guess the dtb has to be modified, waiting for your reply
Thank The Coolest for helping me . VFD display on my box Envy X1 is working perfect now
I also have the box AnyX1.
Can you share me the dtb and vfd files for fixed my display.
I already trying the attached files from The Coolest, but the display still not correct.
Current i'm using SD card with CoreELEC 8.95.0
Thanks.
Try the Vorke Z6 vfd conf and let me know if it works.
Use the DTB from the device_tree folder on the SD card. And the g9sx vfd from the vfd repository here.
??? It is as simple as it gets
Use a mouse, and use Xplore in 2 pane mode; on left open (single left button click) root/dev folder and on the right open your disk.
Long left button press on dtb.img brings up a menu in which you choose what to do with the file. Choose copy and it will send it to the right pane...
Well how the hell would anyone know to hold the remote OK button or mouse button for a long press ??? Not intuitive in any way. Usually you use the Menu button or right mouse button for such contextual menus. Anyway thanks for that vital piece of information and your help mate. Oh and BTW many folk do not have a separate keyboard or mouse with these boxes and rely on the remote as supplied but it is unfit for purpose with Android and a PITA to keep switching from nav keys to mouse pointer
Although I now get teh contextual menu options up it still will not copy as it starts to copy anbd then just fails everytime. Tried a different file in the /dev folder as the DTB one is shown as zero bytes, but still the same result. Tried also copying it to the storage partition on the LibreELEC SD card but same as trying to copy to my USB stick as it fails everytime. Also when I go back from the right pane to the left I lose the file I have selected as it returns to the root folder selection and have to scroll down again to find the file I want to copy... Terribly non user firendly.
Sorry just underlines my opinion that Android is total crap and needs avoiding at all costs if possible. I try to stick with Windows and Linux based OS's and Apple OS which although I am less familiar with it is at least more logical and user freindly than the bloody Android bloatware.
I extracted the DTB from the TX9 Pro firmware. You should use the Vorke Z6 vfd conf file.
Thanks so much Coolest. However I am sure it was one of the vfd conf files I tried already with no success. I willl try later on tonight when I get a moment though. So have you now got yourself a Tanix TX9 Pro box then ???
Will let you know how I get on my friend.
BTW do you know why the /dev/dtb file is shown as zero bytes using the X-Plore File Manager app ? Seems weird.
I can't really help with builds that are not mine, because I don't know what vfd driver they have.
I don't have a TX9 Pro, I downloaded the firmware from Tanix, and extracted the DTB from it.
The configuration they use is identical to the Vorke Z6, and if the Vorke Z6 vfd doesn't work for you, then it's likely an issue with the LE build you're using. It either doesn't have a vfd driver at all or it's using an old version that doesn't support the vfd.conf file method.
Try the Vorke Z6 vfd conf and let me know if it works.
Use the DTB from the device_tree folder on the SD card. And the g9sx vfd from the vfd repository here.
Thanks The Coolest for support.
Pls see below for testing result:
1. Using the DTB from the device_tree folder on the SD card name "gxl_p212_2g.dtb" >>> Not any display on the Box.
2. Using the DTB from file attached name "gxl_p212_2g_g9sx.dtb" >>> Have display, but HH:MM display abnormal.
3. And the g9sx vfd from the vfd repository here.
Make sure that you disable the advanced settings in the addon. Even disable the addon altogether until you get a readable clock.
You must use the gxl_p212_2g_g9sx.dtb, otherwise the display will not work at all.
Already tried with x92 and vorke z6 conf files, still nothing
dgamboa I sent you a PM.
Thanks @The Coolest for support.
Pls see below for final testing result after disable the advanced settings in the OpenVFD addon:
* Almost 4 digits (HH:MM) display not correct the times for numbers from 0 to 9, details as below:
- Except the numbers: < 0, 2, 8 > display correct.
- Another numbers: < 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9 > display abnormal.
Pls see attached file and help me fixed it.
Try the attached vfd.
Thanks The Coolest for support.
The new vfd name "g9sx-2-vfd.conf" still not yet fixed the Times display issue and same with old vfd.
Ah of course. You'll need an updated driver too. (attached)
You can extract it into the downloads folder for instance, then SSH into the box and start it by running
Use the original vfd from the GitHub repository.

- And another icon like: USB, WIFI ... not display
Can you tell me how to add it to autostart.sh file?
Because when restart the Box, issue again happned.
Thanks.
